Otherwise, do the following: 1. Switch off equipment immediately. 2. Switch equipment on and set to Channel 16. 3. Transmit message to “All Stations” giving your vessel's name, callsign and DSC number to cancel the distress alert. Example message: All Stations, All Stations, All Stations This is VESSEL'S NAME, CALLSIGN, DSC NUMBER, POSITION. Cancel my distress alert of DATE, TIME, UTC. =Master, VESSEL'S NAME, CALLSIGN. DSC NUMBER, DATE, TIME UTC. ii SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Do not disassemble or modify the equipment. Fire, electrical shock or serious injury can result. Turn off the power immediately if water Do not open the equipment. leaks into the equipment or the equip- ment is emitting smoke or fire.
