American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 March 13, 2004 RE: ICOM Incorporated FCC ID: AFJ272102 I have a few comments on this Application. 1.) Please be advised that the FCC has not yet implemented Adobe 6.x. Some files created in Adobe 6.x cannot be viewed with Adobe 5.x viewers. Please be sure that all files created with Adobe 6.x be saved out as Adobe 5.x compatible. Your Test Report gave my own 5.x viewer problems. Please convert and reload to the ATCB website. 2.) Your Confidentiality Request letter asks for block diagram, schematics and operational description to be held Confidential. There is no request for Confidentiality on the parts list and tune up procedure โ€“ these exhibits will remain viewable through the FCC website. This is unusual and I would appreciate it if you would please confirm with your client that this is satisfactory. 3.) Please provide some idea of the power tuning range for the low and high power settings. I need to determine if this should be categorized as a switched 1W/4W, or a 4W variable product. 4.) Table 6.7.5.2 appears to show failing data for low pass filter data at 3.5 KHz. Please comment. William H. Graff President and Director of Engineering mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.
