This device complies with Part 15 of FCC Rules and Industry Canada licence-exempt RSS standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of this device. This equipment complies with FCC/IC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment and meets the FCC radio frequency (RF) Exposure Guidelines in Supplement C to OET65 and RSS-102 of the IC radio frequency (RF) Exposure rules. This equipment has very low levels of RF energy that it deemed to comply without maximum permissive exposure evaluation (MPE). But it is desirable that it should be installed and operated keeping the radiator at least 20cm or more away from person’s body (excluding extremities: hands, wrists, feet and ankles). FCC CAUTION Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This transmitter must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.

Please note that watching and operating the DVD video/movie data while driving are prohibited by law in some countries. Also, while driving, keep the volume to a level at which external sounds can be heard. 1. When the inside of the car is very cold and the player is used soon after switching on the heater, moisture may form on the disc (DVD/CD) or the optical parts of the player and proper playback may not be possible. If moisture forms on the disc (DVD/CD), wipe it off with a soft cloth. If moisture forms on the optical parts of the player, do not use the player for about one hour. The condensation will disappear naturally allowing normal operation. 2. Driving on extremely bumpy roads which cause severe vibration may cause the sound to skip. 3. This unit uses a precision mechanism. Even in the event that trouble arises, never open the case, disassemble the unit, or lubricate the rotating parts. 4. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. 5. Under Industry Canada regulations, this radio transmitter may only operate using an antenna of a type and maximum (or lesser) gain approved for the transmitter by Industry Canada. To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that necessary for successful communication. n INFORMATION FOR USERS: CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS TO THIS PRODUCT NOT APPROVED BY THE MANUFACTURER WILL VOID THE WARRANTY AND WILL VIOLATE FCC APPROVAL. NX603FX503 Operation Panel/GeneralitiesFor a longer service life, be sure to read the following cautions. l Do not allow any liquids on the set from drinks, umbrellas, etc. Doing so may damage the internal circuitry. l Do not disassemble or modify the set in any way. UL Japan, Inc. Shonan EMC Lab. 1-22-3 Megumigaoka, Hiratsuka-shi, Kanagawa-ken, 259-1220 JAPAN Telephone : +81 463 50 6400 Facsimile : +81 463 50 6401 Applicant: Clarion Co., Ltd. T ype of Equipment : Car Navigation M odel No. : NX603 FCC ID: AX2NX603 Clarion Co., Ltd. declares that M odel : Car Navigation complies with FCC radiation exposure requirement specified in the FCC Rules 2.1091. The “NX603“ has 1.01 mW of conducted Peak O utput power and 0.22 mW of EIR P. This kind of equipment is below SAR Threshold (KDB447498 D01 v05) The Following calculation is the reference data for 20cm distance. RF Exposure Calculations: The following information provides the minimum separation distance for the highest gain antenna provided with the “NX603“ as calculated from FCC OET Bulletin 65 Appendix A, Table (B) Limits for General Population / Uncontrolled Exposure. This calculation is based on the highest EIRP possible from the system, considering maximum power and antenna gain, and considering a 1.0mW/cm^2 uncontrolled exposure limit. The Friis formula used was: S = (P * G) / (4* π * r 2 ) Where P = 1.01 mW (M aximum peak output power) G = 0.22 Numerical Antenna gain; equal -6.60 dBi r =20.0 cm For: NX603S = 0.00004mW/cm 2 No. : 10003129S-A RF Ex posure / SAR Statement
