COMMUNICATION CERTIFICATION LABORATORYTEST REPORT: 73-7000 FCC ID: AY5SN992CSEO Page 95 of 98 Exhibit 12 Exhibit 12: Operational Description § 15.203 Antenna Requirements The SN992CSEO uses two Dipole antennas that connect to the main board via coax cable using special connectors. The same type as specified by the manufacturer can only replace these antennas; therefore, it meets the requirements of this section. The ZT contains two antennas for diversity purposes, only one antenna transmits during normal operation. § 15.307 Coordination with fixed microwave service Enclosed on the following page is the UTAM affidavit stating compliance to this section. COMMUNICATION CERTIFICATION LABORATORYTEST REPORT: 73-7000 FCC ID: AY5SN992CSEO Page 94 of 98 Exhibit 11 Exhibit 11: RF Exposure/Environmental Evaluation IEEE C95.1-1991 § 15.319 (i) Requirement: The device must comply with IEEE C.95.1-1991, (ANSI/IEEE C.95.1-1992), “Safety Levels with Respect to Human Exposure to Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fields, 3 kHz to 300 GHz.” Measurement methods are specified in IEEE C95.3-1991, “Recommended Practice for the Measurement of Potentially Hazardous Electromagnetic Fields-RF and Microwave.” Measurement Data: The SN992CSEO is not a hand-held device and the radiating structure is always greater than 2.5 cm from the body of the user, therefore; the base station is not subject to the requirements of this section.
COMMUNICATION CERTIFICATION LABORATORYTEST REPORT: 73-7000 FCC ID: AY5SN992CSEO Page 94 of 98 Exhibit 11 Exhibit 11: RF Exposure/Environmental Evaluation Section 15.319 (i) Requirement: Unlicensed PCS devices are subject to the radiofrequency radiation exposure requirements specified in '' 1.1307(b), 2.1091 and 2.1093 of this chapter, as appropriate. All equipment shall be considered to operate in a “general population/uncontrolled” environment. Applications for equipment authorization of devices operating under this section must contain a statement confirming compliance with these requirements for both fundamental emissions and unwanted emissions. Technical information showing the basis for this statement must be submitted to the Commission upon request. Demonstration of Compliance: The SN992CSEO is classified as a mobile device, which is installed so that a minimum separation distance of 20 centimeters is maintained between the transmitter’s radiating structure and the body of the user or nearby persons, and the ERP of the SN992CSEO is less than 3 watts. Therefore, the SN992CSEO is categorically excluded from routine environmental evaluation for RF exposure as per ' 2.1091(c). The installation manual contains the following statement to instruct the installer that the 20 centimeter separation distance must be maintained in order to comply with the RF exposure requirement. Warning: Note to installers: In order to comply with the FCC RF exposure requirements the ZT must be installed with a minimum separation distance of 20 cm from the antennas to the user or nearby persons. The ZT contains two antennas for diversity purposes, only one antenna transmits during normal operation.
