Users Manual

Somfy Insteon to RTS Interface - User Instructions 1. Complete Insteon installation and configuration per the instructions included with the Insteon products 2. Plug the interface into a standard electrical outlet within 65’ of the Somfy RTS motors to be controlled 3. Place the Somfy RTS motors into program mode. Refer to the instructions included with the motors. 4. Press and release the programming push-button located on the Interface. The Interface will now control the Somfy motor. G G G G G G G G G G G

Somfy Insteon to RTS Operational Description INSTEONβ„’ is a powerful, wireless home-control networking technology that simply, affordably and reliably integrates systems in the home for improved comfort, safety, convenience and value. Applications β€’ Scene and remote control lighting β€’ Security alarm interfaces and sensors β€’ Home sensors (e.g. water, humidity, temperature) β€’ Access control (e.g. door locks) β€’ Heating and cooling (HVAC) control and management β€’ Audio-video control β€’ Appliance management β€’ Energy savings Network Topology INSTEON is a robust, redundant dual-mesh network that combines wireless radio frequency (RF) with the home's existing electrical wiring. INSTEON is less susceptible than other single band networks to the kind of interference and noise commonly encountered within the home. INSTEON leverages the latest digital technology to create a true peer-to-peer mesh network. Because all INSTEON devices are peers, they do not require network supervision, so complex network controllers and routing tables are not required. The Insteon to RTS interface is an add-on module in an Insteon network. It accepts standard Insteon commands and converts them to RTS commands. It receives Insteon power line
