SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE EQUIPMENT UNDER TEST (EUT) The PT4000 is a pocket wireless transmitter in the UHF band (650MHz to 865MHz in 6 frequency-bands with 30MHz switching range of each). Transmit-frequencies are generated by a PLL synthesized programmable system using a 16MHz crystal as a reference. The VCO is an stipline-type modulated by means of a varactor-diode. The audio signal is fed through preemphasis and compressor stages before it gets to the modulator. The generated RF signal is amplified by 3 stages and filtered before it is coupled to the antenna. The PT4000 can be used with dynamic microphones and condenser microphones, also an electric guitar, an electric bass, or a remote keyboard can be connected.
