Getting Started 1.1. 1.1.1.1. 1.1. Introduction This manual provides you with the information needed to install and operate the MTI RFID ME TM HW GUI. After installing the software, a description on how to install the RFID ME TM HW (“Dongle”). Section 3, presents information on how to configure the RFID ME TM HW to read and write tags and discusses advanced RFID configuration settings. Section 4 describes reading tags (scanning and inventory runs). Section 5 presents information on Advanced Tag Settings including changing EPC, Kill, Lock and advanced feature settings for setting tags that us NXP’s G2iL+ chips. Double-click “MTI RFID ME TM HW GUI.exe” in the installation disk, then click “Next” to continue the installation, or click “Cancel” to exit the setup as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1 2.1.2. To add additional icons, “Check” the desired boxes as shown in Figure 5. Ltd., Taoyuan Branch April 25, 2011 Dear Application Examiner, Intermec Technologies Corporation, It’s an RFID UHF Module, FCC ID: EHA-INRD01U would like to have your authorization as a modular device. The requirements of section 15.212 of FCC rules have been met and shown on the following statements. 1. “The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding.”: The radio portion of this module has been shielded, please see exhibition External Photo. 2. “The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs.” The EUT has buffered data inputs, it is integrated in AS3992. 3. “The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation.” The part number of this regulator is LTC3412 4. “The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of section 15.203 and 15.204(C).” The EUT meets the FCC antenna requirements. The spurious emission, unique antenna connector and photo of antennas are shown in the test report. 5. “The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration” The EUT was tested in a stand-alone configuration via an USB extender. Please see section Photographs of Test Configuration in the test report, the EUT was connected with this extender. 6. “The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number.” Please see exhibition Label Sample for the FCC ID of this module. And also in the exhibition Users Manual, there are instructions give to the OEM on how to label the end product.
