16 DE5468IP 4.4.21 “Not Active” (fig. 4.4, location 21) Here you determine the time limit for reception of signals from sensors used to monitor the activity of sick, elderly or disabled people. If no device detects and reports movement at least once within the defined time limit, a “not-active” alert is initiated. Options: 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 hours and no act disable. 4.4.22 Back Light (fig. 4.4, location 22) Here you determine whether the keypad back lighting will remain on at all times or will come on when a key is pressed and go off within 10 seconds if no further keystrokes are sensed. The two options are: always on and off after 10 s. 4.4.23 Duress (fig. 4.4, loc. 23) A duress alarm (ambush) message can be sent to the central station if the user is forced to disarm the system under violence or menace. To initiate a duress message, the user must disarm the system with the duress code (2580 by default). Here you can change the code digits or enter "0000" to disable the duress feature. The system does not allow the user to program the duress code saved in this memory location as an existing user code. 4.4.24 Piezo Siren (fig. 4.4, location 24) Here you determine whether the internal siren will sound or remain silent upon alarm (according to the user preference). Options: piezo siren on, piezo siren off. 4.4.25 Reset Option (fig. 4.4, location 25) (Not applicable in the USA) Here you determine whether the system can be rearmed (after an event) by the user or only by the installer. Options: user reset or engineer reset. If Engineer Reset is selected, the system can be rearmed only by the installer ; by entering and exiting the installer menu, by entering and exiting the event log (see section 7), or by remote telephone. To perform Engineer Reset via the telephone, establish communication with the PowerMax Pro (see user guide, par. 6.3A, steps 1-5) and continue as follows: a.  [*], [installer code], [#] b. Wait for 2 beeps c.  [*], [1], [#] d.  [*], [99], [#] 4.4.26 Tamper Option (fig. 4.4, location 26) Here you determine whether zone tamper will be reported or ignored. Available options are: zone tamper ON and zone tamper OFF. 4.4.27 Siren On Line (fig. 4.4, location 27) Here you determine whether the siren will be activated or not when the telephone line fails during system armed state. Available options are: enable on fail, disable on fail. 4.4.28 Memory Prompt (fig. 4.4, location 28) Here you determine whether the user will receive indication that an alarm has been activated. Available options are: enable and disable. 4.4.29 Disarm Option (fig. 4.4, location 29) Here you determine when it is possible to disarm the system: A. Any time. B. In AWAY mode, during entry delay, by using the PowerMax Pro keypad or wireless device (keyfob). C. In AWAY mode, during entry delay, by using a wireless device (keyfob) only (this is set as a default in UK to comply with DD423). D. During entry delay, or by using the PowerMax Pro keypad in AWAY mode. Options: any time, on entry all, on entry wireless, or entry + away kp. 4.4.30 Bell/Rep. Option (fig. 4.4, location 30) Here you determine whether an alarm will be initiated (siren / report) when there is a supervision / jamming failure during AWAY arming state. Available options are: EN standard and other. When "EN standard" is selected, if there is supervision / jamming failure during AWAY arming, the siren is activated and the events are reported as tamper events. When "Other" is selected, there is no such activity during AWAY arming. 4.4.31 Low-Bat Ack (fig. 4.4, location 31) Here you determine whether the user will hear or will not hear low battery sound when he tries to disarm the system with a keyfob whose battery voltage is low. Available options are: keyfob L-B on (the user has to acknowledge the keyfob low battery message) or keyfob L-B off (the user does not have to acknowledge the keyfob low battery message). 4.4.32 Screen Saver (fig. 4.4, location 32) Here you can determine that if no key is pressed during more than 30 seconds, the display will be “PowerMax” (to prevent possible intruder of knowing the system status). You can determine that normal display will return after pressing the button followed by entering user code (Refresh by Code) or after pressing any key (Refresh by Key). If Refresh by Key is selected, the first pressing of any key (except Fire and Emergency) will cause normal display return and the second press will perform the key function. Regarding the Fire and Emergency keys, the first key press will cause normal display return and also will perform the Fire/Emergency function. Options: scrn saver OFF, refresh by code, refresh by key. 4.4.33 Confirm Alarm (fig. 4.4, location 33) Here you determine that if 2 successive alarms will occur during a specific period, the second alarm will be considered as a confirmed alarm (for confirmed alarm reporting, see par. 4.5.12 REPORT CNF ALARM). Options: disable 30 min., 45 min., 60 min., or 90 min. 4.4.34 AC FAIL REP (fig. 4.4, location 34) Here you determine the time interval between AC power failure occurrence and the failure reporting. Options: 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 180 minutes. 4.4.36 User Permission (fig. 4.4, location 36) Here you determine whether the access to the INSTALLER MODE requires user permission. If you select ENABLE, the installer mode will be accessible only through the user menu after entering the user code. Options: Enable, Disable. It is fastened to the wall and contains small interface boards which contai n connectors to cables leading to external devices. Each interface board connects to the main board via flat cable (F.C). 1.1.1 RED CARE ADAPTOR This is an RS232 adaptor connecting to external dialer through proprietary serial interface. 1.1.2 LINE/SET ADAPTOR This connects the phone line and house telephone to the panel. 1.1.3 AUDIO ADAPTOR This an analog audio amplifiers interface to an external speaker and microphone unit. 1.1.4 Plnk/GSM ADAPTOR This is an RS232 interface for two standard UART links to PowerLink unit (connects to internet) and external GSM unit. 1.1.5 PC ADAPTOR This is an RS232 interface for one standard UART link to a PC for offline servicing. 1.1.6 POWER & ZONES ADAPTOR This adaptor receives power from the ACDC power supply. It also contains connectors for external wired detectors and sirens. FCC ID:GSAPWRMAXPRO IC:1467C-PMAXPRO 1.2 Main board on front panel 1.2.1 3.7V STEP DOWN This block is a switched DCDC power supply. It inputs 12.5VDC from the ACDC and outputs 3.7VDC 1.2.2 3.3V REGULATOR This block is a linear DCDC power supply. It inputs 3.7VDC and outputs 3.3VDC supply to most of the circuit. 1.2.3 12V STEPUP This block is a switched DCDC power supply. It inputs 9.6VDC from the Battery and outputs 12VDC for battery charge and for external 12V devices. 1.2.4 BAT CHARGE This circuit inputs 12V from the step up and outputs two levels of charge current to the battery controlled by the CPU. 1.2.5 BATTERY PACK This is a pack of 8 AA sized NiMH batteries with Nominal voltage 7.2V. Optionally another such pack can be plugged in parallel to increase backup time. 1.2.6 AC FAIL This block monitors the voltage of the ACDC and if it drops below threshold it notifies the CPU. 1.2.7 BAT SWITCH This circuit enables the CPU to monitor battery voltage and to switch off the battery when it is depleted. 1.2.8 LINE INTERFACE This circuit interfaces to the telephone line conforming with the relevant telephony standards. It inputs and outputs audio to the audio circuits. It also send a digital ring detect signal to the CPU. FCC ID:GSAPWRMAXPRO IC:1467C-PMAXPRO 1.2.9 SPEAKER PHONE SWITCH This block consists of a speaker phone half duplex voice switch. It receives audio from the line and from the units microphone. It has a switching decision logic to enable the microphone to the line or the line to the speaker. This enables hnds free conversation t hrough the unit while avoiding howling due to echo between the units speaker and microphone. 1.2.10 COMPARATOR This block receives audio from the line and converts it to digital wave form. The CPU analyzes its output and detects dial tone and central station modem tones. 1.2.11 DTMF RCVR This block consists of a DTMF receiver chip. It receives audio from the line interface and transmits the detected DTMF digits t o the CPU via serial link. 1.2.12 MIC IF This block serves as microphone preamplifier and automatic gain control. It enables speaking to the unit from far and from near . 1.2.13 RECORDING CHIP This block consists of an analog voice recording chip. It contains pre recorded messages and also space for user recorded messa ges. Messages can be recorded and erased from the units microphone or from the telephone line remotely. Messages can be played back either to the units speaker or to the telephone line. 1.2.14 SPEAKER INTERFACE This block consists of power amplifier for the speaker and also enables four steps of volume control by the CPU. 1.2.15 SUM AMP This block is a summing amplifier. It receives voice signals from the speaker phone switch, from the recording chip and analo D TMF signals from the CPU. It sums them up and transmits them to the telephone line through the line interface circuit. 1.2.16 LCD This block is the units liquid crystals display module. It is used to display system status messages. FCC ID:GSAPWRMAXPRO IC:1467C-PMAXPRO 1.2.17 KEYBOARD This block is the units keyboard .It is a separate small board containing the keyboard contacts and backlight LEDs. 1.2.18 CPU The CPU is a microcontroller chip including internal flash and RAM memories. It also has the necessary digital I/O ports, D/A a nd A/D to control the system. 1.2.19 INT GSM MODULE This is a user pluggable GSM module. It receives and transmits voice signals instead of the line interface. It is controlled by the CPU through serial interface. It is used optionally to backup the telephone line. 1.2.20 RF TRANSCEIVER This block transmits and receives RF messages to detectors and other devices on the wireless communication link.

FCC ID: GSAPWRMAXPRO After a review of the submitted information, I have a few comments on the above referenced Application. 1) Please justify the use of the FCC DoC Logo. It is uncertain why this is used. 2) What is the correct information regarding the FCC ID of the CDMA module. It appears various cover letters and other information may have left off the grantee code, but it is uncertain. Please correct any affected exhibits. 3) There have been various concerns regarding the CDMA approval for the module used in this device ant that Dennis Ward has recently resolved. However it is noted that the PC still cites that the device may not be co-located. Therefore the PC done may not have clearly identified the co- located environment and therefore the current grant may not yet be covered as used in this device. Please review/explain as necessary. 4) It is uncertain if the schematics include the 15.209 RFID transmitter. Please review/explain. 5) FYI....Please note that the X-10 portion of the device must be Verified for compliance under 15.31(d) & (h) and 15.201 of the FCC rules, including 3 typical in-situ installations. The scope of this is not covered in the Certification of this application, but the manufacturer is responsible to ensure this testing has been performed. FCC ID: GSAPWRMAXPRO After a review of the submitted information, I have a few comments on the above referenced Application. 1) A corrected cover letter was provided regarding the correct information regarding the FCC ID of the CDMA module. However various other exhibits (i.e. operational description) appear to still be incorrect. Please correct. 2) Regarding co-location, please provide specific information as to where this information is provided or found (specific training, dates and pages, and/or KDB reference numbers, etc.). Please note that the co-located discussion (in EMC) was poorly worded and created much discussion during training. Further updated slides were released at a later date to help clarify this concern. Note that May training in 2005 clarified that the FCC no longer required EMC co-location testing to be provided unless requested by the FCC. However this did NOT eliminate the fact that it must still be investigated and found to be compliant. Also, the training only clarified that it was no longer necessary to include this in applications to the FCC. Additionally, this fact is ONLY relevant to the EMC co-location and does not address RF co-location issues. RF co-location still followed all specified guidelines. Current information (released January 2006) clearly shows that co-location must be handled in ALL associated applications. The RF exposure measurement results of the PowerMax Pro with CDMA module with internal and external antennas were provided in the test report VISRAD_FCC.17407. 4) The schematic diagram for RFID transmitter, file “Schematic_diagram_17292_RFID” and revised confidentiality letter “Confidentiality_letter_17292_rev1” were uploaded on December 26, 2006. 5) The X-10 is a digital interface intended for communication between the control panel and a power line interface module. The X-10 has no direct connection to power line and is intended for use with approved power line interface modules. 6) The revised test report VISRAD_FCC.17292_rev1 with corrected Table 7.3.3 was uploaded on December 26, 2006. FCC ID:GSAPWRMAXPRO, ATCB004283 Dear Mr. Johnson, Please find below the answers to your questions. 1) The revised file “Operational_description_17292_rev1” was uploaded on December 28, 2006. 2) a) The RF exposure was measured with all 3 transmitter operated, please refer to the test report VISRAD_FCC.17407; b) We applied for Class II PC for CDMA module, FCC ID:O9EQ2438F-M, please refer to the grant issued by ATCB on December 14, 2006; c) All 3 transmitters use their own antennas (each one) and do not share the common antenna; d) Nevertheless the simultaneous Tx spurious of unlicensed transmitters was measured; e) EMC does not consider the RF emissions from Tx module at all, but the EMC training talks especially about RF transmission issues.
