From: oetech Sent: Wednesday, April 28, 2010 10:16 AM I nquiry: I am reviewing an application for an LTE base station, intended for operation under Parts 27B / 27N / 90AA, Upper 700 MHz C and D Block Public Safety Radio. It uses both 5 MHz and 10 MHz wide emissions, with a conducted output level of about 40 W. I have 2 primary questions: (1) The Part 27B band extends from 746.0 to 757.0 MHz, while the Parts 27N and 90AA bands both extend from 758.0 to 763.0 MHz, and from 763.0 to 768.0 MHz. There appears to be no existing Service under these Rule Parts that operates from 757.0 ? 758.0 MHz. If this is the case, must bandedge compliance also be demonstrated at these bandedges (and not just the outer bandedges at 746.0 and 768.0 MHz)? (2) I am unable to find a similar application on the FCC database. Please advise as to how the Rule Parts / bands should be listed in the grant lines on the grant. Response: We suggest this: Bands to be listed on grant: 746-757 MHz ?????Part 27B 758-768 MHz ?????Part 90AA, 27N Bandedge compliance must be demonstrated at these bandedges as well: 757 MHz and 758 MHz to p rotect the 1 MHz guard band (Block A) allocation .
