CB430-SB Programming Guide Page 1 P/N 430227-00 Rev B CB430-SB Guest Call Button - Programming Guide Determine individual callbox address codes prior to installing. Un-programmed call boxes default to Alarm Code 001. Access the programming DIP switches from the back of the callbox. DEFAULT DIP SWITCH POSITIONS 1 – ON Power – Turns callbox on 2 – OFF Programming Mode – Turn ON only to Program the callbox 3 – OFF Mode Programming – Not programmable 4 – OFF Spanish Message – Turn ON only if store is a designated Bi-lingual store 5 – OFF Spare – Currently not programmed 6 – OFF Spare – Currently not programmed 7 – OFF Spare – Currently not programmed 8 – ON Speaker Volume MED – Turn OFF for HI volume Programming the Guest Call Button: Every Guest Call Button location is assigned an “address code” to identify where the call box is located. Example: the address code for VIDEO GAMES is 458. 1. Determine the address code for the call box location. 2. Remove the call box from its stand or bracket; make sure you can access the switches on the back of the call box. 3. Make sure switch #1 – POWER is in the ON position. 4. Flip switch #2 – PROGRAMMING to the ON position. 5. Press and hold down the RESET bar, for approximately 8 seconds, until the light bar flashes. 6. Release the RESET bar. 7. Press the HELP button the number of times as the 1 st number of the address code Example: Video Games address code 458 – press HELP button 4 times for 1 st number. 8. Press the RESET bar once. 9. Press the HELP button the number of times as the 2 nd number of the address code Example: Video Games address code 458 – press 5 times for 2 nd number. 10. Press the RESET bar once. 11. Press the HELP button the number of times as the 3 rd number of the address code Example: Video Games address code 458 – press 8 times for 3rd number. 12. Press the RESET bar once. The programming is complete. 13. The RESET light bar will flash back the address code to confirm the call box was programmed correctly. Example: for VIDEO GAMES the light bar will flash 4 times, then pause slightly, flash 5 times, pause slightly, and flash 8 times. 14. If the call box was programmed correctly flip switch #2 – PROGRAMMING to the OFF position. 15. If the call box was programmed incorrectly repeat all of the steps above. TIP: To program the number zero (“0”) you will not press the HELP button, instead you will pause 2 seconds between the RESET bar presses.
