Page 247J9CKAG4 Appendix H Modulation Description The Forward CDMA Channel consists of the following code channels: the Pilot Channel, up to one Sync Channel, one Paging Channels. Each code channel transmitted on the Forward CDMA Channel shall be spread with a Walsh function at a fixed chip rate of 1.2288 Mcps to provide orthogonal channelization among all code channels on a given Forward CDMA Channel. One of sixty-four time- orthogonal Walsh functions shall be used. A code channel that is spread using Walsh function n shall be assigned to code channel number n (n = 0 to 63). Walsh function time alignment shall be such that the first Walsh chip begins at the even second time marks referenced to base station transmission time. The Walsh function spreading sequence shall repeat with a period of 52.08333 μs which is equal to the duration of one Forward Traffic Channel modulation symbol. Code channel number zero shall always be assigned to the Pilot Channel. If the Sync channel is present, it shall be assigned code channel number 32. If the Paging Channel is present, it shall be assigned to code channel number 1. The simulated waveform is the forward link CDMA test waveform as per section 6.5.2 of the J-019 standard. It consists of the overhead channels and 6 full rate traffic channels. The data bits are assumed to be random binary samples that can take on values of + or - 1 with equal probability. The data bits are then spread, modulated and pulse shaped as per the J-008 standard. The distribution of the powers in each channel is as per Table 6.5.2.1 of the J-019 standard. It should be noted that the gains of the traffic channel, as specified in the table, are much larger than that expected from an actual telephone calls in order to simulate the CDMA waveform that is expected from a fully loaded base station.
Page 248J9CKAG4 Appendix I Description for Temperature Shutdown Their are two thermostats/temperature sensor are located internal to the device. One is located at the top portion of the device for high temperature shutdown. The other is at the bottom of the device for low temperature shutdown. If the temperature exceeds the specification of -40ºC to +52ºC the thermostat of the HPA limit is then enabled. The circuit of the HPA is trigered and the DC supply to the FET devices is turned off. In addition to the thermostats in RF and Digit boards have thermal protection as well. This is accomplished by a thermistor/temperature sensor circuit is located on the RF circuit board. Specifically, it is located in the path of convective airflow that passes through the module and ahead of any sources of localized heat dissipation. The temperature at this location is representative of the average ambient air temperature core unit. The reading from the temperature sensor circuit is fed back to the Digits board and measured with an ADC which is controlled by software. If the temperature exceeds the specification of -40ºC to +52ºC, the digits board will send a signal to the RF board that will disable the RF board and PA.
Page 244J9CKAG4 Appendix E Tune-Up Procedure The RF Calibration table is an array of values which represent what the EUT’s power sensor sees at a given output power level. This table is used for controlling the EUT’s transmit power. The table's array elements are 0.5 dBm apart. Each element is a set point for a given power level. The software periodically reads the power sensor and slews the output power level towards a particular set point. For example, if the user configures the EUT so that its transmit power is 41.76 dBm, the EUT will adjust the output power so that the power sensor reading is within range of the 41.76 dBm set point. These settings are software controlled and configured through a WEB browser configuration.

Page 508J9CKAG4 Appendix K Permissive Change Qualcomm, Inc. has added a new model number “QCell619e” that was derived from the QCell519e that is currently in review at the FCC under the FFC ID# as J9CKAG4 and has a Confirmation number from form 731 as EA93473. Qualcomm, Inc. would please ask the FCC to consider added this model number to the file mention above as a permissive change only. The changes in the QCell619e from the QCell519e are as followed. QCell619e is a three sector micro base station, where as the QCell519e is a single sector micro base station, so that the user had to buy three base station to gain three sector coverage. The digital portion of the QCell519e moved out of the micro base station and is now in a separate enclosure that is mounted at the base of the tower. The RF front ends are in the identical enclosure with the same RF design as in the QCell519e. The communications between all four sections are accomplished with fiber optic. The QCell619e components consist of 1 Main unit that houses the digital portion on the device and 3 Remote units that house the RF portions of the device. The main section that is installed at the base of the tower can be up to 80 feet below the remote sections of the device. Testing has shown better RF performance and lower unintentional radiation, this can be contributed to the separation of the digital and RF portions of the device. Page 508J9CKAG4
