DECT 6.0 2-Line Cordless Intercom Speakerphone User’s Guide 2 Equipment Approval Information Your telephone equipment is approved for connection to the Public Switched Telephone Network and is in compliance with parts 15 and 68, FCC Rules and Regulations and the Technical Requirements for Telephone Terminal Equipment published by ACTA. 1 Notification to the Local Telephone Company On the bottom of this equipment is a label indicating, among other information, the US number and Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) for the equipment. You must, upon request, provide this information to your telephone company. The REN is useful in determining the number of devices you may connect to your telephone line and still have all of these devices ring when your telephone number is called. In most (but not all) areas, the sum of the RENs of all devices connected to one line should not exceed 5. To be certain of the number of devices you may connect to your line as determined by the REN, you should contact your local telephone company. A plug and jack used to connect this equipment to the premises wiring and telephone network must comply with the applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by the ACTA. A compliant telephone cord and modular plug is provided with this product. It is designed to be connected to a compatible modular jack that is also compliant. See installation instructions for details. Notes s This equipment may not be used on coin service provided by the telephone company. s Party lines are subject to state tariffs, and therefore, you may not be able to use your own telephone equipment if you are on a party line. Check with your local telephone company. s Notice must be given to the telephone company upon permanent disconnection of your telephone from your line. s If your home has specially wired alarm equipment connected to the telephone line, ensure the installation of this product does not disable your alarm equipment. If you have questions about what will disable alarm equipment, consult your telephone company or a qualified installer. INTERTEK TESTING SERVICES FCC ID: MZV2-5252D RF exposure - 1 of 1 For Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) evaluation of the base unit, the maximum power density at 20 cm from this mobile transmitter shall be less than the General Population / Uncontrolled MPE limit in OET Bulletin 65 and meet the requirement listed in KDB447498. The setup and equipment setting were made in accordance with ANSI C63.17. The antenna of EUT transmitter was replaced by a coaxial cable. The impendence matching of connection, cable loss and external RF attenuator are taken into account. The EUT was arranged to communicate via a fixed carrier frequency between its transmitter and a companion device. The transmission was configured in burst mode with pseudo-random data as typical as normal operation. EUT Companion Device Spectrum Analyze r Directional Coupler For the 1.9GHz Base Unit of tested model: 25252D, the measured powers among all the measured channels were within its production tolerance: +16 dBm (Minimum) and +23 dBm (Maximum). The antenna gain of 25252D is 0 dBi = 1.00 (num gain) and its maximum source-base d time-averaging duty factor is 20.8% (5/24 x100%). From these data and its operating configuration – Mobile device, the exposed power density at a distance (R) of 20cm from the center of radiation of the antenna can be calculated according to OET Bulletin 65 as follow: The Conducted Power = 23 dBm = 199.5 mW The Conducted Power source-based time-averaging output power = (199.5 * 0.208) mW = 41.5 mW The power density at 20cm = 41.5 *1.00/ 4R 2 = 0.0083 mW cm -2 In the frequency range of 1,500 - 100,000MHz, the MPE limit is 1.0 mWcm -2 for general population and uncontrolled exposure. As the measured power density at 20cm from the transmitter is lower than the MPE limit, the compliance to the MPE limit can be ensured by indicating the minimum 20cm separation between the transmitter's radiating structures and body of the user or near by persons. The following RF exposure statement is proposed to be included in the user manual: “ FCC RF Radiation Exposure Statement Caution: To maintain compliance with the FCC’s RF exposure guidelines, place the base unit at least 20cm from nearby persons.”
