Personal Badge Instruction Manual and Specsheet FCC Compliance The F CC Wa nts Y ou to Know This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. To use the Personal Badge: 1. Keep the IR transmission area clear. 2. Use the pad of your finger to press the button on the back of the badge. 3. The RDRs within the facility pick up the signals. 4. A brief press of the butto n is all it takes. 5. Maintain the position of the badge for about o ne seco nd. Battery Replacement The battery is located inside the Personal Badge. In order to replace the battery, yo u need to remove the two screws of the plastic backing of the Personal Badge and then remove the old battery and replace it with a new o ne. Replace the plastic casing and secure it with the two screws.

Radiated testing was performed at an antenna to EUT distance of 3 meters. 1.3 Test Facility The open area test site and conducted measurement facility used to collect the data is located at Kfar Bin Nun, Israel. This site has been fully described in reports dated April 10, 1995 and May 8, 1995, submitted to the FCC office, and accepted in a letter dated July 23, 1998 (31040/SIT 1300F2). 1.4 Measurement Uncertainty Radiated Emission The Open Site complies with the ± 4 dB Normalized Site Attenuation requirements of ANSI C63.4-1992. In accordance with Paragraph 5.4.6.2 of this standard, this tolerance includes instrumentation calibration errors, measurement technique errors, and errors due to site anomalies.
