12/06/2007 Tune up procedure for DEKO3189 1. General 1.1. This Procedure is conducted by the customer using NMS, on “Controls and Params “ screen. 2. Procedure 2.1. Connect to unit using NMS (see Manual). 2.2. Chose “Controls and Params “ screen (see figure 1). Figure 1: NMS – Controls and Parameters Screen To setup the Control and operational Parameters of the Repeater, proceed as follows: Set the parameters that determine the Link in both Downlink or Uplink path by selecting the value for each checkbox from its adjacent dropdown list. 1 First, click on the box to enable RF Transmission: 1. Click on the LBDA Panel Mask checkbox if you want to determine manually the gain with the Power selector in the Repeater front panel. This feature disables the Max Power box selection, at left. 2. Click on RF Transmission Enable checkbox if you want to setup the Power and the Gain in this screen 3. Select the Max Power. 4. Select the Max Gain 5. Select the Delta Gain between the Downlink and Uplink 6. Click on Smart ALC On/Off box to enable the Smart ALC operation. The values of its operational parameters are set as fixed, and are displayed for information. 7. You can increase the Auto Gain per time Interval 8. Determine the time lapse in the Auto Gain increase by setting a Change Interval timeout in the checkbox (in hours) 2 3
