American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 November 4, 2003 RE: Victory Concept Industries Ltd. FCC ID: OJ7901GRM0903 After a review of the submitted information, I have a few comments on the above referenced Application. 1) Please provide schematics that include the reference values, not just reference designators. 2) Please explain how this device is compliant with 95.29(f)(2) and 95.181(g)/(h) given that the users manual mentions Call-Ring Tones for GMRS channels/power levels. 3) The SAR report does not appear to define the test device as a production unit or identical prototype. 4) Due to the scaling used and possible power drift, it would be desirable to provide information regarding drift over time (i.e. single point over time?). If possible, please provide. Timothy R. Johnson Examining Engineer mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Listed Power is ERP. Operation may not exceed a maximum transmitting duty factor of 50% for satisfying RF exposure compliance. SAR compliance for body-worn operating configurations is limited to the specific belt-clip/holster/accessories tested for this filing. End-users must be informed of operating requirements for satisfying RF exposure compliance. This device is authorized to operate in the following radio services: FRS (Part 95B) or GMRS (Part 95A). There must be an informational insert inside the box (product package) or the Users Manual must include information that clearly informs the consumer (buyer/owner) when the radio is transmitting on GMRS frequencies, that operation on GMRS frequencies requires an FCC license and such operation is subject to additional rules specified in 47 C.F.R. Part 95. The highest reported SAR levels are: 1.0 W/kg Face-held for a 50% Duty Cycle and 1.5 W/kg Body-worn for a 50% Duty Cycle.
