It includes a description of the system end-to-end first time and on-going configuration, management and maintenance. Intended Users and Scope This manual is intended for Corning system installers, technicians and users. It is assumed that the user is familiar with the system and its units, and understands the basic functionality of the system. (“Corning”)warrants to the original purchaser (“Customer”) that for the duration of the warranty period, one (1) year, commencing on the date of shipment of the Hardware, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Corning (the “Hardware Warranty Period”), the Hardware furnished by Corning shall be free in all material respects from defects in material and workmanship, and shall conform to the applicable portions of the Specifications, as defined below (the “Hardware Warranty”). If notified by Customer of any such defects in material or workmanship or nonconformity with applicable portions of the Specifications within the Hardware Warranty Period, Corning shall promptly, at its own election and expense, repair or replace any such Hardware proven to be defective under the terms of this Hardware Warranty. Such repair or replacement shall be Customer’s sole remedy and Corning’s sole obligation in the event this Hardware Warranty is invoked. If any components comprising a part of the Hardware are replaced or repaired during the Hardware Warranty Period, the Hardware Warranty Period for such repaired or replaced components shall extend to the longer of (i) the balance of the Hardware Warranty Period or (ii) three (3) months from the date of repair or replacement. For purposes of this Warranty, “Specifications” shall mean the specifications and performance standards of the Products as set forth in documents published by Corning and delivered to Customer which contain technical specifications or performance standards for the Products. If Customer invokes this Hardware Warranty, it shall notify Corning promptly of the claimed defect. Customer will allow Corning to inspect the Hardware at Customer’s location, or to return the Hardware to Corning’s closest repair facility. For Hardware returned to Corning’s repair facility, Customer shall be responsible for payment of all transportation and freight costs (including insurance) to Corning’s repair facility, and Corning shall be responsible for all transportation and freight costs (including insurance) incurred in connection with the shipment of such Hardware to other repair facilities of Corning and/or its return to Customer. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in no event will Corning be liable for damage to Products resulting from improper handling during or after shipment, misuse, neglect, improper installation, operation or repair (other than by authorized Corning personnel), alteration, accident, or for any other cause not attributable to defects in materials or workmanship on the part of Corning. Corning shall not reimburse or make any allowance to Customer for any labor charges incurred by Customer for replacement or repair of any goods unless such charges are authorized in advance in writing by Corning. Software Warranty Corning warrants to the original purchaser (“Customer”) that for the duration of the warranty period, one (1) year, commencing on the date of shipment of the Software, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Corning (the “Software Warranty Period”), the Software shall conform with, and perform the functions set forth in the Specifications, and shall be free from defects in material or workmanship (th…

By default, the port is configured to have a static IP address: 192.168.1.1; Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0. Alternatively, the port can be configured as a DHCP client. IPv4 and IPv6 network protocols can be simultaneously supported. x INTERNAL Ports: Four RJ45, 100 Mb Ethernet ports used for management of connected ACMs. Note: Any one of these ports can also be used for a local connection if required. Default settings: IP: 10.0.0.1; Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0 3.3 Open a Local Session Below are the instructions for opening a local management session, to perform basic system configurations via the system GUI. ¾ To Open the system GUI 1. Connect a computer (i.e., laptop) to the HCM LOCAL port via an RJ45 Cat 5 Ethernet cable, as shown below: 2. The LOCAL port is set to a static IP Address by default: 172.16.1.1; Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0. Your laptop/tablet network parameters must be set to match the subnet of the default IP address. Note: The laptop/tablet IP address must be different than the LOCAL port IP address. Go to the Control Panel and select Network and Sharing Center 2. Right click Local Area Connection and select Properties 4. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 and click Properties The window below appears: Set the IP address according to the default IP address of the LOCAL port and the subnet mask. An example of a possible IP address is: 172.16.1.5. The IP address can't be 172.16.1.1 as this address is used by the LOCAL port. Once the connection is established, open a browser and type-in the LOCAL port default IP address in the address bar: 172.16.1.1. The HCM Controller Log In dialog appears: 4. For first-time authentication use the following default values: x Username: admin x Password: default provided with your system. x Group: leave blank. Note: IMPORTANT! For security reasons it is highly recommended to immediately change the password (via the "Admin" -> "Security" tab) and log in again using the new password. 5. Click the "SIGN IN" button. Next to the main menu either the system tree or the corresponding sub-options are displayed. The display changes according to the option selected from the main menu. This option is only visible to the system administrator. Administrative options to perform system configurations, implement updates, define and monitor user's activity. At this point the system is ready to be connected to the LAN according to the instructions below. For HCM modules only – using the provided RJ45/RJ45 communication cable, connect the HCM LAN port to the corporate LAN: The LAN port is set to a static IP address by default: 192.168.1.1; Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0. ¾ To configure the HCM LAN port 1. IMPORTANT: Make sure the HCM LAN port is connected to the corporate LAN. 2. In the main menu bar, click Æ 3. Select the IPv4 LAN Port or IPv6 LAN Port tabs and click the button. 4. The LAN port is set to a static IP address, by default: 192.168.1.1; Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0. You may change the static IP address, subnet mask and default gateway manually to legal values. Note: make sure the values youenter in the above fields aren't used by other system elements, and are different than the default values. Multiple ACM units may be connected to a single HCM via the INTERNAL ports for management purposes. Only HCM modules should be connected to the corporate LAN. ACM modules are connected via the HCM modules. For Dynamic IP Address — set DHCP as Client, then click OK. 5. The HCM restarts after the LAN IP address is updated. 6. To open a remote management session: Open a browser and enter the LAN port IP Address in the address bar. Note: A Ping Tool option is provided to verify access to IP hosts (rather than opening another application). For more information about the ping tool and the IP Settings tab refer to section 5.1.3.6.
