MULTI-CHANNEL CABLE FREE REMOTE THERMO-HYGRO SENSOR MODEL: C-8102 USER’S MANUAL INTRODUCTION Congratulation on your purchasing of the C-8102 Remote Sensor. The Remote Sensor is used with the Chung’s 433MHz multi-channel In-Out wireless weather station to monitor the temperature and humidity changes of remote or outdoor sites. Operation is easy and no wire installation is required. MAIN FEATURES 1. LED INDICATOR Flashing when the sensor transmitting a reading. 2. LCD Indicates the selected channel, displays the current temperature and humidity alternately. 3. CHANNEL SLIDE SWITCH Designate the channel of the sensor to Channel 1, Channel 2 or Channel 3. 4. RESET BUTTON Reset all settings to default values 5. WATER RESISTANT RING Prevent the unit from water penetrating. 6. BATTERY COMPARTMENT Contains 2 AAA size batteries. 7. BATTERY DOOR Covers the battery compartment 8. WALL-MOUNT HOLDER Support the sensor on wall 9. FOLDING TABLE STAND For standing the unit on a flat surface BEFORE YOU BEGIN For best operation, please read the follows: 1. Assign different channels to different sensors. 2. Insert 2 AAA batteries for the sensors before doing so for the weather station. 3. Place the weather station as close as possible next to the sensor; reset the weather station after installing batteries. 4. Place the receiver and transmitter away from metal objects and electrical appliances to minimize the interference. Position the sensor and the main unit within effective transmission range: about 30 meters in usual circumstance. Note: 1. The building material and the position of the receiver and transmitter affect the effective range. So try various set-ups will help to obtain the best result. 2. Though the transmitter is waterproof and meant to be used outdoors, it should be placed away from direct sunlight, rain or snow. °F BATTERY AND CHANNEL INSTALLATION The transmitter uses two AAA size batteries. To install them, do the follows: 1. Unscrew the screws on the battery door. 2. Select the channel number by sliding the CHANNEL slide switch. 3. Select the temperature display unit on the °C / °F slide switch. 4. Insert the batteries as per the indication marked in the battery compartment. 5. Replace the battery door and secure its screws. CHANGE CHANNEL Once a channel is assigned to a transmitter, you can change it by removing the batteries and repeating the above procedure, the other way is to select the designated channel and then reset the transmitter. LOW BATTERY WARNING When the low battery indicator displays in the sensor, it will show up in the main unit under the represented channel, replace with 2 new AAA batteries at once. OPERATION Once batteries are inserted, the transmitter will start transmitting samplings at 60-64 seconds intervals. The current temperature and humidity will be shown on the transmitter’s LCD. The temperature unit °C / °F shows in the receiver is determined by the setting on the receiver. THE RESET BUTTON Refer to the main unit’s manual for further information. This button is used to reset all settings to default values, when changing the channel or malfunctioning. Use a blunt wire to hold down the button to reset it. HOW TO USE THE TABLE STAND OR WALL MOUNTING The transmitter comes with a wall-mount holder and folding stand. Use either to set up the unit. CAUTIONS This unit is engineered to give you years of satisfactory service if you handle it carefully. Follows are a few cautions: 1. Do not immerse the unit in water. 2. Do not leave disabled battery in the watch for a long time and be sure to replace it with new ones. If battery fluid leaks out, it may damage movement components. 3. Avoid rough using or dropping the unit. 4. To clean the unit, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth moistened in a solution of water and a mild neutral detergent. Never use solvents (such as benzene, spray cleanser). 5. Always read the user’s manual thoroughly before operating the unit. NOTE Under the environment with radio frequency interference, the sample could not maintain communication link and resume to normal when interference stops. WARNING: Changes or modifications to this unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
