1 CDM531AM WiFi Mobile Router ZALiP User Manual 2 IMPORTANT USAGE INSTRUCTION For the convenience of use, this product accepts power from a desktop or a laptop computer. It’s mandatory to connect both of two USB connectors at one end of USB supplied power cable to computer at one time. Power supply is not sufficient for the device to operate normally if only one USB connector is inserted into the computer. This product is specifically designed for mobile user who needs to have the internet access beyond his home and office. It provides a complete solution for Internet surfing and broadband sharing. Instructions for installing and configuring this product can be found in this manual. Step 1. Turn off the power switch and then plug USB 3G Modem to the Router. Note: The Wi-Fi Mobile Router is designed to work with either UMTS or EV-DO and even HSUPA 3G modem. Please refer to your service provider for detailed feature information. Step 2. Plug your USB modem which is with activated USB dongle. Step 3. You can choose either Power Adapter or USB Cable for power supply. 3.1. Use Power Adapter Connect with the power adapter to the receptor on the back panel of it. 3.2. Use USB cable Connect USB Cable to the same place of it. 8 Step 4. 4.1. Use Power Adapter Then plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet. 4.2. Use USB Cable Then plug the other end of USB Cable to USB Port on your PC or NB. Step 5. Turn on the power switch. Ans:Please find the updated Label drawing(990507) . 2 Q#2: User manual indicate a 3G dongle will be connected. What is the FCC ID of this 3G dongle and what is its function? Ans:On the test report of page 10 has been showed the EUT test Peripheral of 3G Modem FCC ID. Due to the customer does not sell and limited which 3G Modem should be used with this EUT, therefore the user's manual only explain it's operation but not indicated the 3G Modem FCC ID on it. Q#3: Per 2006 Oct. TCB workshop material, the Grantee of the part 15 gateway-product is responsible to ensure compliance with FCC rules for intended and expected end-use co-located multi-transmitter product. Can the 3G dongle transmit with the 802.11bgn router? If applicable, please address the co-location issue. Ans: Due to the customer does not sell this 3G dongle and do not transmit with the EUT, therefore the co- location is not applicable. Q#4: According to the user manual page 6, this router can be hooked on the panel of the notebook PC and 20cm safe distance from antenna to end user may not be able to maintain. It will then be considered as a portable device and may subject to SAR evaluation. Please address. ANS: Due to the EUT average power was less than 13.8dBm, therefore the SAR issue was not applicable. But we still verified the SAR testing to make sure that. Please see the report(SAR). Operational Description

Description of Operation The EUT is a WiFi Mobile Router with IEEE 802.11b/g/n . And this device provided of transmitting speed: 802.11b:11, 5.5, 2, 1 Mbps 802.11g : 54, 48 ,36, 24, 18, 12 , 9, 6 Mbps 802.11n HT20 : 65, 58.5 , 52 , 39 , 26 , 19.5 , 13 , 6.5 Mbps 802.11n HT40 : 135 , 121.5 , 108 , 81 , 54 , 40.5 , 27 , 13.5 Mbps the device of RF carrier is CCK, DQPSK, DBPSK, 64QAM, 16QAM, QPSK and BPSK. The device adapts DSSS and OFDM modulation. And the antenna was a PIFA Antenna, and provided diversity function to improve the receiving function. It allows your computer to connect to a wireless network and to share resources, such as files or printers without being bound to the network wires. And this EUT Operation in 2.4GHz Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (D.S.S.S) and Orthogonal Frequency division Multiplex (O.F.D.M) radio transmission. In addition, its standard compliance ensures that it can communicate with any 802.11b/g/n network. The other instruction, please have a look at the user’s manual.
