1. Describe the operation of the device. The EUT was supplied with DC 12V from adapter and battery And the FM Transmitter can be used to transmit audio as a radio signal that can be picked up on you card radio 2. Provide information on the device and its antenna. This device is a FM transmitter operation at 88.1MHz to 107.9MHz. The EUT uses a permanently connected antenna. -Antenna: N/A -Antenna Type: Printed -Connector Type: N/A 3. How is it installed? Insert SD card into the connector on the top of the EUT. Play MP3 continuously by adapter, then place the whole set onto of the testing site for test. 4. Describe the test procedure used. (OAT’s, In situ, etc.) The device was only tested on a OAT’s as the antenna is integral to the device (internal). Radiated emissions were invested cover the frequency range from 30MHz to 1000MHz using a receiver RBW of 120KHz record QP reading, and the frequency over 1GHz using a spectrum analyzer RBW of 1MHz and 10Hz VBW record Average reading. (15.209 paragraph), the Peak reading (1MHz RBW/VBW) recorded also on the report. The EUT for testing is arranged on a wooden turntable. If some peripherals apply to the EUT, the peripherals will be connected to EUT and the whole system. During the test, all cables were arranged to produce worst-case emissions. The signal is maximized through rotation. The height of antenna and polarization is changing constantly for exploring for maximum signal level. The height of antenna can be up to 4 meters and down to 1 meter. The measurement for radiated emission will be done at the distance of three meters unless the signal level is too low to measure at that distance. In the case of the reading under noise floor, a pre-amplifier is used and/or the test is conducted at a closer distance. And then all readings are extrapolated back to the equivalent three meter reading using inverse scaling with distance. bandwidth requirement a. The transmitter output (antenna port) was connected to the spectrum analyzer in peak hold mode. b. The resolution bandwidth of 10 kHz and the video bandwidth of 10 KHz were used. c. Measured the spectrum width with power higher than 20dB below carrier. 5. If tested in a care, describe how was it configured and tested. N/A 6. At the present time, FM transmitters (subject to 15.239) tested in vehicles must also be tested on a table. Provide both sets of data. All data must be compliant. The EUT was only performed on the test table. All the test data was complied with FCC 15. 239 requirement. Please refer to Page 34 and Page 35 of the User’s Manual. 7. Was the tuning range properly verified? The test lab should indicate in the report that the tuning controls were manually adjusted to verify maximum tuning range. Yes. During the bandwidth test, the EUT was tested with the maximum audio input (800mVp-p). 8. Use a typical audio file from a typical device. E.g. do not use a 1KHz signal from a signal generator. Audio input was generated from an SD card to the device and tested under normal operating conditions. 9. Provide the test report showing compliance with the rules.

Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) The name, address and contact person listed on the FCC database for LITE-ON under the Grantee code PPQ does not match the application form, the confidentiality request, or the PIA. All this information must be updated before this Grant can proceed. Under who’s authority does Peter Wang speak on behalf of LITE-ON? 2.) Please provide a block diagram of the RF section of this device. I do not find any block diagram specific to the 88-108MHz transmitter. 3.) Please provide better, clearer internal photographs. May I suggest that either the photos or the paper be rotated 90 degrees so as to provide a larger and better fit for the photos? 4.) This device has an FCC logo indicating that the Rules for DofC should apply. You are reminded that testing as a Part 15B computer peripheral is required since this device can access a USB port. Kindly indicate where the DofC testing has taken place. 5.) FYI: This device is very low power. Therefore the RF exposure and co-location prohibitions seen in the Manual are not required. 6.) Please review again the “Permit But Ask” document sent yesterday. Page two begins a list of ten items which must specifically be addressed by any applicant for Certification under 15.239. Please observe that there are ten items. We urge all applicants to provide a separate document (similar to the Modular Approval request letter) specifying how all these different requirements are met. As an example, I do not find any specific reference to how this device has been modulated during testing and using what source. If an analog input the transmitter is provided, this must also be tested. 7.) Your Test Setup photos omit the use of a computer. All radiated testing shall be performed with all input ports filled. For this case, it would be very appropriate that a PC be used in all radiated and conducted testing under Part 15B and 15C. 8.) It is not appropriate to measure band edge compliance of a 200KHz wide signal using a 100KHz wide RBW. Please retake your band edge emissions data using a 10KHz RBW in both mono and stereo modes, and make sure a “worst case” audio source is used. William H. Operational Description

VN910 Operational Principle. 1. CPU, U1, Atlas 2 324MHz/FBGA have a 32-bit RISC processor integrated, operation frequency is 324MHz. It needs an external 12MHz (Y1) and 32.768KHz (Y2) crystal for reference frequency. 2. SDRAM, U2/U3, Samsung 32MB K4M561633G-BN75, 3.3V/138MHz 32-bit data bus. 3. Flash, 3.1 NAND1, HYNIX 1GB HY27UG08G5M-TP, (\\Options1:Samsung , Flash Memory ,K9F5608U0C-PCB0,256Mb*8, \\Options 2 :HYNIX,Flash Memory,HY27UF082G2A-TP,2Gb*8, \\Options 3 :HYNIX,Flash Memory,HY27UF084G2A-TP,4Gb*8,) 3.2 3.3V/138MHz 8-bit data bus. The NAND Flash can be used as a boot-loader during boot-up, or be used as a simple storage device (for both program and data). When the NAND Flash is sued as a boot-loader, the boot code will be stored in the first physical block of the NAND Flash and the rest of NAND Flash also can be used as simple storage device. 4. GPS, G_U1 GPS Receiver IC (SiGe SE4110L) It needs an external 16.367667MHz(G_Y1)crystal for reference frequency. GPS protocol standard -NMEA 0183 V2.0 12 CH 15x15mm Patch antenna receiver for GPS L1 (C/A-code) Acquisition sensitivity: -141dBm Tracking sensitivity: -153dBm The SE4110L includes an on-chip LNA and a low IF receiver with a linear AGC and 2-bit analogue-to-digital converter (ADC). The receiver incorporates a fully integrated image reject mixer so no SAW filter is required in many applications.
