Users Manual

FCC Rule 15.21 The users manual or instruction manual for an international or unintentional radiator shall caution the user that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:(1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. NOTE This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiated radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Important: We strongly recommend install the software first before you plug the card into your computer. 1.Utility & Driver Installation a. Turn on your computer. b. Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive. c. The Install shield wizard will appears. d. If the CD Autorun function does not appear, go to your Windows Start menu and choose “Run”, type “D:\Setup.exe” (“D” represents your computer CD-ROM driver letter), and click “OK”. (as image 1.1) image 1.1 ! 2 e. Click “Install” to begin the Installation. f. Click “Finish” to finish the installing the Driver & Utility. 2.Hardware Installation a. Insert Wireless Notebook Adapter into available Cardbus slot on your computer. Your computer will appear Found New Hardware Wizard screen. b.Select “Install the software automatically (Recommended)”, and then click “Next”. c.Windows will remind you that the driver has not passed Windows Logo testing. This is normal, and it has been verified that this adapter does work with Windows. Click “Continue Anyway” d. Click “Finish” to finalize the installation. 3.Installation is complete! After finished installation, configuration utility will start and the utility icon will appear in the bottom right hand corner of desktop screen.

The Internal Photographs and External Photographs are a little bit too grainy. If possible, it would be appreciated if you could provide clearer photographs. 2.) No Agent Authorization letter was supplied empowering Sporton to act on behalf of Lite-On. Please provide. 3.) The Block Diagram does not meet the requirements of 2.1033(b)(5). Please review and supply corrected Block Diagram. 4.) The Manual does not contain the required Information to User as specified in 15.21. Please review. 5.) The Radiated Emissions do not show any measured values above 2.6GHz. Are you suggesting there are no emissions of interest above 2.6GHz? Were measurements taken in all the restricted bands of 15.205? 6.) Was a Declaration of Conformity assessment performed on this equipment as a computer peripheral? 7.) FYI: Please make sure all files uploaded to AmericanTCB for submission to FCC use Adobe 5.x format. The FCC does not yet use this version of Adobe Acrobat and some files may be incompatible. Operational Description

FCC ID: PPQ-WN1301P Description of Operation EUT is a CardBus Wireless LAN Card with 11 channels. This device provided a convergence procedure for the 2, 5.5, and 11 Mbps mandatory 802.11b modes the optional PBCC-22 and PBCC-33 optional modes, and the optional CCK-OFDM modes at 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, and 54Mbit/s specification in which PSDUs are converted to and from PPDUs. The device adapts Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation. The antenna is Printed Antenna, and there is one antenna connector. This CardBus Wireless LAN Card is an IEEE 802.11g Wireless LAN adapter. It allows your computer to connect to a wireless network and to share resources, such as files or printers without being bound to the network wires. Operation in 2.4GHz Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) radio transmission, the CardBus Wireless LAN Card transfers data at speeds up to 64/128/152-bit Wired Equivalent Protection(WEP) algorithm is used. In addition, its standard compliance ensures that it can communicate with any 802.11g network.
