AP0136450 RF Module Operating in the 3.4-3.7 GHz bands REFERENCE GUIDE Regulatory Compliance FCC/IC - Compliance This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules and IC RSS standards. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: ‱ Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. ‱ Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. ‱ Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. ‱ Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. RADWIN Ltd. is not responsible for any radio or communication interference caused by using other than specified or recommended cables and battery or by unauthorized changes or modifications to this equipment. Changes or modifications or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that when using the outdoor antenna kits, only those antennas certified with the product are used. The use of any antenna other than those certified with the product is expressly forbidden by FCC rules 47 CFR part 15.204 and IC RSS standards. It is a TDD OFDM radio supporting 5 MHz, 10 MHz, 20 MHz and 40 MHz channel bandwidths. The RF module cannot work as a stand-alone device. It can operate and be controlled only when attached to a digital main board and altogether assembled in an enclosure suitable for outdoor use. The assembly of the RF module attached to the digital main board is hereafter referred to as ‘ODU’. The ODU in its various outdoor enclosures is manufactured by RADWIN. The RF module is certified as a limited modular approval type with the FCC ID: Q3KRW3XMOD and IC: 5100A-RW3XMOD. Condition of Use The AP0136450 RF module is a proprietary radio interface and can only be connected to digital boards manufactured by RADWIN. The ODU resides in an outdoor enclosure also manufactured and

The justification for the application is based on the attestation that RADWIN Ltd., being the sole manufacturer and the assembling factory of both the module and the final product, has full control over the production line and the final product. The module has on board the power supply regulation. 4. The module is supplied with unique antenna connector. The module is installed into the device at RADWIN’s production line with the unique antenna cabling and connectors, as tested. Only the RADWIN antennas detailed in the manual are marketed with the module. The final installation of the unit is done only by professional installers trained by RADWIN representatives. 5. The unit was tested in a stand-alone configuration. Maximum Exposure Limit According to FCC § 90.1335, part 1, § 1.1307(b) Power density limit in 3650 – 3700 MHz band for general population/uncontrolled exposure is 1(mW/cm 2 ). The power density calculation is S = (Pt / 4π r 2 ). Where: Pt – The transmitted power (EIRP) (mW) r – The distance from the unit (cm). The 1(mW/cm 2 ) limit can be calculated from the above based on the following data: Pt – the maximum allowed transmitted EIRP = 46.1 dBm = 40738 mW. Maximum allowed RF safety distance "r", where RF exposure limit may not be exceeded = SQRT(40738/4π) and is more than 57 cm from antenna main lobe. Modular Approval. Power Output listed is the maximum combined conducted output power. Device is a 2x2 Spatial Multiplexing MIMO, as described within this filing. The antennas used for this transmitter shall be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 57 cm from allpersons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter within a device, except in accordance with accepted multi-transmitter product procedures. A separate approval is required for portable operating configurations, as defined in 2.1093 of the rules. The final product operating with this transmitter must include operating instructions and applicable warnings for end-users and installers to satisfy RF exposure compliance requirements. OEM integrators must be informed of these specific requirements. This Grant is valid only when the device is assembled in enclosures manufactured and tested by RADWIN or its approved subcontractors and is instructed to ensure that the end user has no manual instructions to remove or install the device.
