Choose either A or B My internet comes from a Separate Modem and Router 1 2 3 4 Install the Linksys app. You will open it after you finish the steps below. Disconnect and remove the old router. Plug in your MR8300 router. The light will blink blue while starting up. Connect the internet port on your router to the modem with the provided ethernet cable. The light will turn purple when the router is ready for setup. My internet comes from a Single Device (Modem-Router) 1 2 3 4 Install the Linksys app. You will open it after you finish the steps below. Leave the modem-router connected. Plug in your MR8300 router. The light will blink blue while starting up. Connect the internet port on your router to the modem-router with the provided ethernet cable. The light will turn purple when the router is ready for setup. 2. Finish Setup The Linksys app is required to complete setup. 1 2 Check router light The light will turn purple when ready for setup (after blinking blue while starting up). Open the app Tap the Launch Setup button. The app will pair with your router and help you finish setting it up.
