American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 July 11, 2006 RE: FCC ID: QFXRM-132_ATCB003718 Attention: Alison Kingston I have a few comments on this Application. Please note that further comments may arise in response to answers provided to the questions below. 1. Please note that the power levels in the EMC reports do not match the power levels listed on the 731. Please make power levels consistent throughout documentation. 2. Please note that in the test report FCC_0623_v1 the EGPRS data listed in section 2.3 for the 850MHz band shows data for the 1900Bnad. Please provide the EGPRS data for the 850MHz Band. 3. Please note that while it is acceptable to have up to 3dB varaiance between the SAR report and the EMC report EIRP power levels, when there is a variance the highest reported power must still be in the SAR report. Please note that the highest EIRP power in the EMC reports are 32.5dBm (see page 6 of report FCC_0623_01TCFv1) while the highest EIRP in the SAR report is only 31.1 (see pages 16 and 18 of the SAR report). This is an almost 1.5dB difference with the SAR report not showing the highest reading. Please retest SAR using the higher power level or please retest EMC to show a consistent power relation to the SAR report. Dennis Ward mailto:[email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.

RE: FCC ID: QFXRM-132_ATCB003718 1. Please note that the power levels in the EMC reports do not match the power levels listed on the 731. Please make power levels consistent throughout documentation. The 731 form has been updated with the correct power levels. 2. Please note that in the test report FCC_0623_v1 the EGPRS data listed in section 2.3 for the 850MHz band shows data for the 1900Bnad. Please provide the EGPRS data for the 850MHz Band. This testing has now been carried out and the results can be found in test report Cph_FCC_0623_01v2. EMC testing has been repeated and the value is now 31.14dBm (Cph_FCC_0623_01v2). If the EMC report was to state the result to 1 decimal place, rather than the 2 it uses, this would mean that the value is the same (31.1dBm) in both reports.
