5. The A/B code switch is set incorrectly. Transmitter/Receiver should match. 6. Weak batteries on the Wall Switch Transmitter. 7. Check that the slide switch at the bottom of the Wall Switch is in the ON position (to the right). Light does not turn OFF: 1. Check for metal objects around the Transmitter and Receiver and relocate, if necessary. 2. Push the OFF side of the switch and hold for one second. 3. Batteries in the Wall Switch Transmitter are weak. Replace batteries. DESCRIPTION Les dispositifs muraux à radiofréquences (RF) de la trousse interrupteur/interrupteur Interrupteur « passe-partout » (N° de cat. 6696) permettent la commutation de l’éclairage à partir d’un second emplacement, comme s’il s’agissait d’un circuit à trois voies, sans nécessiter de nouveau câblage. Cette trousse est constituée d’un transmetteur RF et d’un récepteur unipolaire mural, lequel remplace un interrupteur unipolaire ordinaire. Le transmetteur, installé à une distance pouvant atteindre 15 mètres (50 pi) du récepteur, devient le second interrupteur du circuit. Ces dispositifs sont munis d’un sélecteur de code A/B qui permet d’installer plus d’un ensemble d’interrupteurs dans un même rayon de 15 mètres. Le transmetteur requiert deux piles AAA (non comprises). Cette trousse convient partout où l’on requiert des interrupteurs à trois voies; elle est idéale pour les salles familiales, les coins-détente, les couloirs et les chambres à coucher. Le cas échéant, défaire les raccords de l’interrupteur existant, et retirer ce dernier. 3. Dénuder chacun des conducteurs de circuit sur environ 1.6 cm (0,63 po). 4. Raccorder les fils conformément au SCHÉMA DE CÂBLAGE approprié et de la façon suivante : torsader solidement ensemble les brins de chaque fil de sortie avec le conducteur correspondant et enfoncer fermement les raccords dans une marette de grosseur appropriée, en vissant cette dernière et en s’assurant qu’aucun brin de cuivre ne dépasse. Protéger les raccords au moyen de ruban isolant. AVERTISSEMENT : NE PAS RACCORDER LE MINCE FIL D’ANTENNE AUX FILS NOIRS DU DISPOSITIF OU DU CIRCUIT. AVERTISSEMENT : EMPÊCHER L’EXTRÉMITÉ COUPÉE DU MINCE FIL D’ANTENNE D’ENTRER EN CONTACT AVEC LE MÉTAL D’UNE BOÎTE MURALE OU D'UN FIL DE TERRE DÉNUDÉ. L’EXTRÉMITÉ COUPÉE DU FIL D’ANTENNE EST ISOLÉE; NE PAS RETIRER CET ISOLANT. 5. Faire passer le mince fil d’antenne en arrière du mur et le laisser pendre librement (figure 1) afin d’améliorer la portée du récepteur. Placer ensuite le transmetteur à l’endroit voulu et vérifier s’il fonctionne bien avec le récepteur (il pourrait s’avérer nécessaire de déplacer le fil d’antenne ou le transmetteur pour assurer le bon fonctionnement des dispositifs). 6. Régler le sélecteur de code A/B à la position voulue (figure 2). Si un second ensemble d’interrupteurs est installé, régler le code à la lettre correspondant au transmetteur approprié (A ou B). 7. Enfoncer délicatement les fils dans la boîte murale en prévoyant suffisamment d’espace pour l’interrupteur ; Fixer ce dernier, la glissière de commutation en bas, au moyen des vis de montage fournies. Fixer la plaque Decora MD . 8. Rétablir le courant au fusible ou au disjoncteur ; L’INSTALLATION DU RÉCEPTEUR EST TERMINÉE. INSTALLATION DU TRANSMETTEUR MURAL 1. Retirer le couvercle de la plaque arrière. 2. Insérer 2 piles AAA (non comprises). 3. Régler le sélecteur A/B à la même lettre que le récepteur (figure 3). 4. Fixer la plaque arrière du transmetteur à l’endroit voulu au moyen des vis fournies en prenant soin d’orienter la marque « TOP » vers le haut ; replacer le couvercle (figure 4). REMARQUES : • Cette installation pourrait nécessiter l’utilisation de chevilles murales. • Avant d’installer définitivement le transmetteur, vérifier s’il fonctionne correctement avec le récepteur installé précédemment (l‘emplacement choisi doit être à moi…
