DRIVER & SOFTWARE UTILITY USER MANUAL – REV 1.0, FEB 2004 This device is intended only for OEM Integrators. The OEM integrator should be aware of the following important issues. Labeling of the End Product The end product integrate this module has to be clearly identified on the label that this end product contains a FCC approved RF module. The format of such statement could “Contian Tx FCC ID: RC6AWI-922W” or similar. Integration Note a) This module is authorized under limited module approval specified to mobile host equipment. So, the antenna must be installed such that 20cm is maintained between the antenna and users. b) The transmitter module may not be co-located with any other transmitter or antenna. As long as the 2 conditions above are met, further transmitter testing will not be required. However, the OEM integrator is still responsible for testing their end-product for any additional compliance requirements required with this module installed (for example, digital device emission, PC peripheral requirements, etc.) IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that these conditions can not be met, then the FCC authorization is no longer considered valid and the FCC ID can not be used on the final product (including the transmitter) and obtaining a separate FCC authorization. FCC Requirements for Operation in the United States Radio Frequency Interference Warnings & Instructions This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. When operating in the following metropolitan regions (départements) in France, this device may be operated under the following conditions: Indoors using any channel in the 2.4-2.4835 GHz band (Channels 1-13) Outdoors using channels in the 2.4-2.454 GHz band (Channels 1-7) When operating outside of the following regions (départements) in France (see table below), this product must be operated under the following conditions: • Indoors using channels in the 2.4465-2.4835 GHz band (Channels 10-13). • Outdoor operation not permitted.
