Users Manual

Owner’s Manual INSTEON ® LED Bulb INSTEON I.D. printed on bulb Model: 2672-222 In the Box INSTEON LED Bulb Important: Read Before Installing INSTEON LED Bulb The INSTEON LED Bulb enters linking mode upon power-up if it does not contain any links. If not linked to a controller within 4 minutes, it will drop out of linking mode. Once linked to a controller, all linking and properties management must be done through a central controller or software. Installing INSTEON LED Bulb The INSTEON LED bulb is best setup and managed using home-management software such as HouseLinc. However, you can create a single responder link using these instructions. 1) Press and hold controller button until it beeps. (If using INSTEON app, tap Add button.) Controller LED will start blinking. You will have 4 minutes to complete the next step before linking mode automatically times out. 2) Screw INSTEON LED Bulb into a light socket. Bulb and controller will double-beep. 3) Test link by tapping controller button on and off. Bulb will turn on and off. Note: Bulb will only link at 100% brightness using these manual linking steps. It is capable of linking at all brightness levels via software. Troubleshooting Problem Possible Cause Solution The INSTEON signal may be too weak to reach INSTEON LED Bulb. Add additional INSTEON devices or relocate existing INSTEON devices. (All INSTEON devices act as network repeaters.) Make sure at least two dual-band INSTEON devices or Access Points (#2443) are properly installed to bridge the electrical phases. INSTEON LED Bulb won’t add to a scene as a responder. Certain products—such as TVs or refrigerators—may be producing noise or attenuation on the powerline. Install a powerline noise filter (FilterLinc #1626-10) to isolate the problem. INSTEON LED Bulb is taking a long time to respond to a controller. The controller may be sending commands to a responder that is no longer in use. Commands are being resent and delaying the signal to INSTEON LED Bulb. Remove all links from the controller to responders that are no longer in use. 2672-222 Rev. 6/5/2012 12:34 PM / See Owner’s Manual for Warranty Information. INSTEON LED Bulb may be a member of a scene you’re not aware of. Remove all unwanted scene memberships from INSTEON LED Bulb using software. The controller can turn on INSTEON LED Bulb, but not turn it off. INSTEON LED Bulb may be linked at a very dim brightness level or at off. Relink INSTEON LED Bulb to the controller at a brighter level.
