<C5. Wiring> C5-12 IM 01W02E01-01EN l Waterproofing antenna cables and connectors Make sure that the antenna, extension cables and arrestor wring including the grounding cable are connected properly. Protect the connectors and the arrestor with tape. As described in C5.4.1 Mounting ISA100.11a Antenna to YFGW510, wind self-bonding tape and vinyl tape around con- nections. Ground wiring FC0510.ai Figure C5-10 Sealing external antenna wiring l Fastening antenna wiring After taping, fasten the cables to a solid structure to protect against vibration and wind. Ensure that the radii of bends in the cables do not fall below the limits above. C5.4.3 Installation and Wiring of Wireless LAN Antenna The wireless LAN antenna must be connected to YFGW510 using an extension cable in order to prevent interference with the ISA100.11a antenna and to mount the antenna vertically. To fasten the antenna, use the brackets provided with the extension cable. Basically, the wireless LAN antenna must be at least 1 m away from the ISA100.11a antenna. In a redundant wireless LAN system, the wireless LAN antennas must be at least 30 cm away from each other. When wireless LAN antennas or the ISA100.11a antenna is located near a mounting pipe or any other metal object, allow clearance of at least 30 cm. n Installing wireless LAN antennas Install the wireless LAN antenna in an appropriate location for wireless communication, referring to requirements on distance from the ISA100.11a antenna, and C3.1 Requirements for Installa- tion Locations. Make sure that the mounting of the antenna on a 2-inch pipe has enough strength to withstand strong winds and vibration. The antenna must be kept upright. l Fastening wireless LAN antenna Fasten the wireless LAN antenna to the pipe using the brackets provided with the antenna. When mounting on a vertical pipe, make sure that the antenna stands higher than the top of the pipe. <C5. Fix the antenna extension cable to the bracket 1 with the provided nut as shown in the figure above. 2. Fix the bracket 1 to the 2-inch (2B) pipe by using the provided a pair of U bolts and bracket 2. 3. Screw the antenna into the antenna connector of the antenna extension cable on the bracket 1. Tighten the antenna connector with a torque of 2 to 3 N∙m. 4. Protect the joint of the antenna and the connector with tape to increase environmental re- sistance. For details on taping, see C5.4.1 Mounting ISA100.11a antenna to YFGW510. <C5. Wiring> C5-15 IM 01W02E01-01EN n Wiring of wireless LAN antenna and improvement of environmental resistance l Specification of extension cable for wireless LAN antenna (Use only the cables included as option.) • Specification: 8D-SFA(PE) • Outside Diameter: 11.1 mm • Minimum Bend Radius: 67 mm (when fixing) 167 mm (when wiring) • Cable End Treatment: N type connector, one end is male and the other is female. * “When fixing” shows the bending radius for fixing (the state is maintained for a long time). “When wiring” shows the bending radius while checking the wiring position. This bending radius is set larger than that for fixing in order to prevent damage to the cable because the cable is likely to be repeatedly bent when checking the final wiring position. l Wiring procedure of wireless LAN antenna 1. Use the provided extension antenna cable to connect the antenna connector with the ex- ternal antenna. Tighten the connector of the antenna extension cable with a torque of 2 to 3 N∙m. Refer to the specification about the limitation of bend radius when fixing or wiring. 2. When using two extension cables, the provided arrester should be inserted between these cables. 3. Before the wiring work, confirm the polarities (male/female) of the connectors of antenna, extension antenna cable, and arrester. Tighten the connector of the antenna extension cable with a torque of 2 to 3 N∙m. No.: WFC006-A09 Date: 25 July, 2012 5. Theory of operation 5.1. Power Circuitry F9195KA do not have voltage regulator. However, this application limited the host equipment, and F9195KA’s voltage is supplied from voltage regulator of the limited host power supply. (Figure1-broken line block) The limited host power supply contains two regulators, i.e., 5V DC/DC and 3.3V DC/DC (in Figure1) ・ 5V DC/DC supplies a regulated 5Vdc to the 3.3V DC/DC and the RF amplifier in the Wireless Part. ・ 3.3V DC/DC supplies a regulated 3.3Vdc to the Wireless LSI and the other logic IC. 5.2. Clocks F9195KA has four clock resources. ・ Wireless LSI Reference oscillator - The default frequency for the reference oscillator is 24MHz and the mounted crystal is a 24MHz device that meets the wireless LSI specifications. ・ 32.768kHz external Real Time Clock Module – High stability time base ・ Main CPU operates at 50MHz using internal PLL. ・ 25MHz crystal provides an accurate time base for the Ethernet PHY. 5.3. Wireless LSI - MC13224V (Figure1) The MC13224V is a single package device that contains an ARM7 MCU, SRAM, NVM, and IEEE 802.15.4 transceiver. All of the wireless part control is done through this part and it also provides the radio function and RF control. In this module: ・ The operating voltage is 3.3Vdc supplied from the regulator of limited host power supply. ・ The primary clock source is provided by the 24MHz crystal reference oscillator. 5.4. RF Front End Circuitry F9195KA RF Front End circuitry is shown in Figure1. RF Front End contains the RF amplifier, the variable attenuator, the low-pass filter and the RF switches. The MC13224 uses the RF port as a bi-directional single-ended port for both transmit and receive. The RF Switch multiplexes TX port path and RX port path based on the control signal of MC13224. For the transmit path, MC13224 RF port drives the RF switch. And RF switch is enabled TX port path by the control signal of MC14224. TX port of RF switch drives input of the variable attenuator. The variable attenuator is a digital step attenuator covering 31 dB attenuation. Setting value of the attenuation is provided by the Main CPU. Attenuator output drives the RF amplifier input. The RF amplifier output drives a low-pass filter. The low-pass filter is to eliminate out-of-band spurious and harmonic signals. The low-pass filter feeds the RF switch. RF switch is enabled TX port path by the control signal of MC13224. And then RF switch drives the antenna connector (RF IN/OUT) For the receive path, the incoming signal is derived from the antenna connector, and it drives the RF switch. The RF switch is enabled RX port path by the control signal of MC13224, and the RF switch drives the RF port of the MC13224. Doc. No.: WFC006-A09 Date: 25 July, 2012 6.
