Here we take the US version as an exam ple. Button Description (Settings button) Press this button until the Wi-Fi LED blinks amber and green alternately (about 5 seconds) to initiate the smart-config process. Press and hold until the Wi-Fi LED blinks amber quickly (about 10 seconds) to reset the Smart Plug to factory defaults. LED Status Indication Blink Amber and Green: Smart-config mode initiated. Green: Connecting to the network. Amber: Factory reset. (Wi-Fi LED) On Green: Connected to the network. Amber: Rebooting. Red: No network connection. On The Smart Plug is powered on. (Power LED) Off No power. Chapter 2. Quick Start 4 Chapter 2. Quick Start 1. Download TP-LINK Kasa app. 2. Connect mobile device to your Wi-Fi network. Note: The Smart Plug can only connect to 2.4GHz network. 3. Launch Kasa and follow the app instructions. Appendix A. FAQs 5 Appendix A. FAQs 1. What devices can I control with the Smart Plug? You can control lights, fans, humidifiers, portable heaters, and any small appliances in accordance with the Smart Plug’s specifications. 2. What should I do when I can’t turn devices on or off? Make sure that the devices connected to the Smart Plug are turned on, and that the Smart Plug is connected to the network. 3. What should I do when the Wi-Fi LED is lit solid red? A solid red indicates no network connection, or that the smart-config process has failed. You can:  Check for interference or relocate the Smart Plug to another location within the signal range.  Make sure that you connect the Smart Plug to the 2.4GHz network.  Repeat the smart-config process.  Factory reset the Smart Plug and try to add it again. Limit Radiated emissions which fall in the restricted bands, as defined in Section 15.205(a) of FCC part 15, must also comply with the radiated emission limits specified in Section 15.209(a) (see Section 15.205(c)). 6.4. Test Procedure According to FCC ANSI C63.4: 2014 & ANSI C63.10: 2013& FCC 47CFR 15.247& KDB 558074 D01v03r03 This test is required for any spurious emission or modulation product that falls in a Restricted Band, as defined in Section 15.205 of FCC part 15. It must be performed with the highest gain of each type of antenna proposed for use with the EUT. Use the following spectrum analyzer settings: Span = wide enough to fully capture the emission being measured RBW = 1 MHz for f ≧ 1 GHz, 100 kHz for f < 1GHz VBW ≧ RBW Sweep = auto Detector function = peak Trace = max hold Follow the guidelines in ANSI C63.4 with respect to maximizing the emission by rotating the EUT, measuring the emission while the EUT is situated in three orthogonal planes (if appropriate), adjusting the measurement antenna height and polarization, etc. A pre-amp and a Report No: 1590447R-RF-US-P06V01 Page: 139 of 193 high pass filter are required for this test, in order to provide the measuring system with sufficient sensitivity. Allow the trace to stabilize. The peak reading of the emission, after being corrected by the antenna factor, cable loss, pre-amp gain, etc., is the peak field strength, which must comply with the limit specified in Section 15.35(b) of FCC part 15. Now set the VBW ≥ 1 / T (the minimum transmission duration), while maintaining all of the other instrument settings. This peak level, once corrected, must comply with the limit specified in Section 15.209 of FCC Part 15. If the emission on which a radiated measurement must be made is located at the edge of the authorized band of operation, then the alternative “marker-delta” method may be employed. 6.5. Uncertainty The measurement uncertainty above 1G is defined as ± 3.9 dB Report No: 1590447R-RF-US-P06V01 Page: 140 of 193 6.6.
