American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 December 26, 2007 RE: ATCB005762 FCC ID: TE7TDW8900G for TP-Link Technologies Co., Ltd. I have a few comments on this Application. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1. Please provide a complete user manual exhibit for review. The submitted user manual was missing Figures 4-2 through 4.8 and Figures 5-1 to 5-80. Without these Figures, the manual cannot be evaluated. 2. Please provide a block diagram that describes the product being approved. The submitted block diagram shows two transmit antennas but the device only uses one transmit antenna. 3. Please identify the antenna connector used on this device to show compliance with Section 15.203 of the FCC Rules. 4. Please confirm what the antenna gain is for the antenna used with this device. Section 9 of the Test Report shows an antenna gain of 5 dBi when evaluating the MPE for this device but other sections of the test report indicate the antenna gain is only 3 dBi. What is the correct antenna gain? 5. This device is also a personal computer (PC) peripheral which requires either Declaration of Conformity (DoC) or Certification in accordance with Section 15.101(a) of the Rules. The FCC label for this device indicates a DoC has been preformed for the PC peripheral portion of this device. Test labs in China are not eligible to perform DoC measurements because there is no Mutual Recognition Agreement in force between the USA and China. Please provide evidence that the proper authorization has been done. Please note that the FCC is about to enforce this new requirement on all TCBs in January of 2008. More details will follow when the FCC releases the procedures TCBs are to follow in this matter. 6. For Your Information – I will be correcting the output power listed on the submitted FCC form 731 application to 103 milliwatts. That is the output power that is shown in the supporting test report. No other exhibits in this application support the output power of 135 milliwatts that is listed on the application form. If this is incorrect, please provide evidence that supports the requested output power of 135 milliwatts. Page 2 December 26, 2007 Richard Fabina Examining Engineer mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.
