Users Manual

1 Wireless Network Card Installation Guide System Requirements ● One available PCI 2.0/2.1/2.2/2.3 port ● One available USB 1.1/2.0 port ● Operating System: Windows ME/2000/XP/Vista/win7 ● Minimum Disk Space: 2MB Software Installation You must have the following information available before installing your Products . 1. Wireless Network Name (SSID) and, 2. Encryption/Network Key (if applicable) Note: Screen-shot images provided below is based on Windows Vista. You may see different screen on other operating systems but procedures are the same. CAUTION: Products should NOT be inserted at this time. You will be asked to insert after the software is completely installed. A. Power on your computer and allow Windows 2000/ME/XP/Vista/Win7 to load fully. B. Insert the installation CD to your CD-ROM and run “Setup.exe” program. “Ralink Wireless LAN – InstallShield Wizard” will appear on your screen, select “I accept the terms of the license agreement” then click “Next.”. 2 C. Click “Install” to begin the installation and it will copy all necessary files to your hard disk automatically. D. Click “Finish” when you see “InstallShield Wizard Complete” to finish the installation. 3 You will see “Configuration & Monitor Utility” icon appears on your system tray when the installation is completed successfully. If you don’t see the icon, we highly recommended you to restart the computer. However, if you still don’t see the icon appears, please uninstall and reinstall the software again. FCC STATEMENT 1. Operational Description

Operation Description The EUT is a Wireless Wi-Fi adapter with 11 channels(802.11b, g, n (20MHz)) or 7 channels(802.11n (40MHz)). This device provides four kinds of transmitting speed 1, 2, 5.5 and 11Mbps, the modulation of device is BPSK, QPSK and CCK (IEEE 802.11b) and eight kinds of transmitting speed 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 54Mbps are provided, the technology of this device used is OFDM (IEEE 802.11g),108,130,270Mbps(IEEE 802.11N).The device adapts direct sequence spread spectrum modulation. This Wireless Wi-Fi module, compliant with IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g/n, is a high-efficiency Wireless LAN adapter. It allows your computer to connect to a wireless network and to share resources, such as files or printers without being bound to the network wires. Operation in 2.4GHz Direst Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) radio transmission, the Wireless Wi-Fi module Wired Equivalent Protection (WEP) algorithm is used. In addition, its standard compliance ensures that it can communicate with any IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g/n network. The IEEE 802.11n is Multiple In Multiple out (MIMO) Technology, and two antennas to support 2(Transmit) * 2(Receive) MIMO technology.
