APPLICANT: Alcatel-Lucent FCC ID: AS5BBTRX-14 EXHIBIT 4 Section 2.1033 (c)(8) DC VOLTAGES AND CURRENTS The dc voltage applied to and dc currents into the several elements of the final radio frequency amplifying device for normal operation over the power range. Response The single phase, three wire AC voltage power source of 120 VAC and 60 Hz was applied to the 9763 MCI B25 PCS LTE 2x250mW, AC transceiver system. The final radio frequency amplifying device needs 750mA from the 5.0V supply. Due to the two transmitters, we have two of these final radio frequency amplifying devices in one MCI. Section 2.1033 (c)(9) TUNE-UP PROCEDURE Turn-up procedure over the power range, or at specific operating power levels. Response The Alcatel-Lucent 9763 MCI B25 PCS LTE 2x250mW, AC, subject of this application, cannot be “tuned- up” by the user. There are no user tune-up features. All tuning is performed by the manufacturer during, and as part of, the manufacturing process. Section 2.1033 (c)(10) CIRCUITRY AND DEVICES FOR SUPPRESSION OF SPURIOUS RADIATION A description of all circuitry and devices provided for suppression of spurious radiation. Response The 9763 MCI B25 PCS LTE 2x250mW, AC, subject of this application, was designed in adherence to the proper Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) guidelines extending from the circuit board level to the shelf and system levels to significantly suppress inter-modulation products, carrier induced harmonics and other spurious signals as well as the emissions radiated from them. The suppression of spurious radiation was achieved mainly by implementing the following two techniques: 1. Effective filtering in the RF path of the transceiver unit and band-pass transmit filters (external to the transceiver). 2. Proper grounding and RF shielding of the circuitry, circuit boards, cables, shelves and the frame.

RESPONSE: The “9763 MCI B25 PCS LTE 2x250mW, AC”, is capable of operating from 0.002 to .25 watts/port, 2x2 MIMO mode. The Tx output power is controlled by the RF Digital Step Attenuator (DSA) via software over 14 dB range from +10dBm to +24dBm, respectively. The gain of the Tx path is adjusted by the DSA to account for gain variations in the Tx chain over operating temperature and frequency ranges. In addition to that, the FPGA provides fine output power control with a high resolution. The Tx chain parameters are carefully characterized during manufacturing process and provide high accuracy of setting the Tx output power and maintaining it over operating frequency and temperature ranges. APPLICANT: Alcatel-Lucent FCC ID: AS5BBTRX-14 SUB-EXHIBIT 10.3 FCC Section 2.1047 Modulation Characteristics APPLICANT: Alcatel-Lucent FCC ID: AS5BBTRX-14 The modulation techniques used are explained in the submission as part section 2.1033 (c) (13). The RF signal at the antenna port was demodulated and verified for correctness of modulation signal used before each test was performed. The attached plot of graphs shows the modulation components: In phase (I) and Quadrature (Q) components. (1) Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation scheme uses 2 bits transmitted simultaneously (one per channel) and a symbol can be represented by 2 bits. Therefore there are 2 2 = 4 states (Binary 00 to 11). The theoretical bandwidth is 2bits/second/Hz. (2) 16 Quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM): In 16QAM, there are 16-states. There are four I values and four Q values. Therefore, 4 bits are available to represent a symbol. Therefore there are 2 4 = 16 states (Binary 0000 to 1111). The theoretical bandwidth is 4bits/second/Hz. (3) 64 Quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM): In 64QAM: The 64QAM is similar to 16QAM and there will be 64 states and 6 bits are available to represent a symbol.
