WLS919-433 Wireless Key Operating InstructionsThe WLS919-433 wireless key allows you to arm anddisarm your alarm system, as well as perform other key-pad functions, from a unit small enough to keep in yourpocket. Together with your installer, you can decidewhich functions you wish to have accessible from yourportable key. To activate any one of the four selected functions, pressand hold the appropriate button for two seconds. Thefunctions will be etched on each button. These can bechanged by the installer by placing labels on the buttonthat needs to be changed.False Alarm PreventionThe WLS919-433 has a slide cover, used to cover 2 or all of the buttons, to preventaccidental activation. The WLS919-433 is shipped with a red panic button ( ). The color difference will make this button easy to identify to ensure the correct key ispressed in a panic situation.NOTE : Signals will not be received if the key is not within the range of the wireless receiver. The default functions are as follows: Stay Arming Press this button to arm your system in the Stay mode. All perimeter zones will bearmed, such as all window and door contacts, but the interior zones will remain inac-tive, allowing you to stay on the premises without setting off an alarm. Away Arming Press this button to arm your system in the Away mode. Both the interior and exteriorzones will be armed, allowing you to exit the premises. Disarm Press this button to disarm your system. You do not have to enter your access codewhen you use the key to disarm the system. Panic Press this button to notify your central monitoring station of a situation requiring thepolice, such as a break-in.Other available functions (to be programmed by the installer): Fire* Press this button to notify your central monitoring station of a fire condition.*NOTE: NOT to be used with UL Listed installations. Auxiliary Press this button to notify your monitoring station of a non-medical emergency. Quick Exit Press this button to allow 2 minutes to exit the premises while the system is armed,without sounding the alarm. If the system is OFF normal, it will not be armed. System Test Press this button to activate a system test. The alarm will sound for 2 seconds and acommunication will be sent to the central monitoring station, if programmed to do so.NOTE : Please discuss all WLS919-433 options with your installer in order to pro- gram the best possible combination to suit your needs. Testing the WLS919-433 KeyWhen any key is pressed on the WLS919-433 to perform a function, its battery sta-tus is sent to the receiver. If the batteries are low, the Trouble light on your system’skeypads will turn ON. If this occurs, the key’s batteries must be replaced. NOTE : Do not use an Auxiliary or Panic key to test your WLS919-433 unit as pressing these buttons will always notify your monitoring station of a non-medical emergency. Note to Installer : For UL installations, the ‘Arm/Disarm Bell Squawk’ feature of the control panel must be enabled. The bell squawk must be heard from outside the pre-mises. Refer to the control panel’s Installation Manual for more information.
