Salo, FINLAND 2022 SATEL-EASy Pro+ User Guide v.1.3 2 RESTRICTIONS ON USE SATEL-EASy Pro+ radio modems have been designed to operate on frequency ranges, the exact use of which differs from one region and/or country to another. The user of a radio modem must take care that the said device is not operated without the permission of the local authorities on frequencies other than those specifically reserved and intended for use without a specific permit. The allowed max output power depends on the type of station. SATEL-EASy Pro+ is allowed to be used in the following countries, either on licence free channels or on channels where the operation requires a licence. More detailed information is available at the local frequency management authority. Countries: AT, AU, BE, BG, CA, CH, CY, CZ, DE, DK, EE, ES, FI, FR, GB, GR, HU, IE, IS, IT, LT, LU, LV, MT, NL, NO, PL, PT, RO, RU, SE, SK and US. WARNING β RF Exposure! To comply with RF exposure compliance requirements in Europe, USA and Canada maximum antenna gain is 14 dBi and a separation distance listed in a table below must be maintained between the antenna of this device and all persons. This device must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Antenna gain [dBi] Minimum distance [m] 0 1.4 4 2.2 6 2.7 8 3.4 10 4.2 12 5.3 14 6.7 WARNING! Users of radio modems in North America should be aware, that due to the allocation of the frequency band 406.0 β 406.1 MHz for government use only, the use of radio modem on this frequency band without a proper permit is strictly forbidden. In USA and Canada this product is certified to use frequencies 406.1 β 430MHz and 450 β 470MHz. Using this device in USA or Canada outside these frequencies is prohibited. SATEL-EASy Pro+ User Guide v.1.3 3 This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced radio / TV technician for help. SATEL-EASy Pro+ User Guide v.1.3 4 PRODUCT CONFORMITY SATEL Oy hereby declares that SATEL-EASy Pro+ radio modem is in compliance with the essential requirements (radio performance, electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety) and other relevant provisions of Directive 2014/53/EU. Therefore the equipment is labelled with the following CE-marking. WARRANTY AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Read these safety instructions carefully before using the product: -Warranty will be void, if the product is used in any way that is in contradiction with the instructions given in this manual, or if the radio modem housing has been opened or tampered with. -The radio modem is only to be operated at frequencies allocated by local authorities, and without exceeding the given maximum allowed output power ratings. SATEL and its distributors are not responsible, if any products manufactured by it are used in unlawful ways. -The devices mentioned in this manual are to be used only according to the instructions described in this manual. β¦

The EUT was placed on a non-conductive table standing on a turntable. The distance between the EUT and the measurement antenna was 3 m. In order to find the maximum levels of the disturbance radiation the angle of the turntable. and the height of the measuring antenna were varied during the tests. The test was performed with the measurement antenna in both horizontal and vertical polarizations. The EUT is tested in different combinations of channel bandwidth. TX frequency. and EUT orientation. If emissions near the limit are detected with any combination. other combinations are investigated as well. The antenna connector was terminated with a 50 β¦ load.
