These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment. The long term characteristics or the possib le physiological effects of radio frequency electromagnetic fields have not been investigated by Underwriters’ Laboratories, Inc. (UL ® ). Industry Canada Warning This device complies with Industry Canada licence-exempt Radio Standards Specification (RSS) standard(s). Operation is subject to the following two conditions: • This device may not cause interference. • This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesi red operation of the device. To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (e.i.r.p.) is not more than that necessary for successful communication. Note: To ensure compliance with Electro-magnetic Compatibility (EMC) standar ds, do not remove the ferrite beads from cable assemblies provided with them. 5015 B. U. Bowman Dr. Buford, GA 30518 July 23, 2013 ACS TCB 5015 B.U. Bowman Drive Buford, GA 30518 Re: FCC ID: N6SLFMAT To Whom It May Concern: The following application is submitted on behalf of our client, Gilbarco Inc., for evaluation of their model C00016-011 for certification under FCC Part 15.209. Gilbarco Inc.’s product C00016-011 RFID Mat Reader is a low frequency Mat Reader system that transmits at 134.2kHz. The RFID Mat Reader allows customers to interface directly with a Point-Of-Sale via a handheld (not requiring a battery) transponder or tag, Texas Instruments Part # RI-TRP-Series. The C00016-011 “Pin Pad Reader” has a model variant C00016-010 “Mini Mat Reader” that differs only by its antenna option. The model variant C00016-010 version has a mat assembly that lays flat on the counter (part number M02361). The C00016-011 version has a mat assembly mounted to a base that allows it to swivel/tilt to different angles (part number M03118). Both models are electrically identical and of the same type of antenna. Only the C00016-011 antenna option was evaluated for this filing. The C00016-011 was tested in full to the requirements of the aforementioned rules and was found to be in compliance. Sincerely, Sam Wismer Vice President, Technology Advanced Compliance Solutions, Inc.
