There are two ways to connect to the OEM Serial Port Adapter, one is via the J1 connector, a 20-pin 2mm pitch pin header, and the other is via the board-to-board (one piece part) connector, J2 through J5. NOTE! J4 and J5 are only available on cB-0702-01 The J2 to J5 connectors on the OEM Serial Port Adapter exist on the module only as a mating PCB-layout pattern. NOTE! The requirement of the FCC Public notice DA00-1407 are met. The module is intended for OEM integration only and cannot be sold to the General Public. The following requirements are fulfilled: 1. The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding The radio portion of the module is contained in its own RF shielding. See photos in exhibits. 2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs The module has no modulation inputs. No such inputs are provided on the module. The Bluetooth radio is self contained. 3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation The module has its own on board power supply circuitry FCC Federal Communications Commission 4_CONNE_0102_BTT - 2 - 4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of Section 15.203 and 15.204c The transmitter shall only be used with the tested antenna or with an antenna that has less antenna gain and which was submitted with this filing. The specifications of possible antennas are filed with this application. Furthermore, the SMA connector of the antenna must be locked with a glue Loctite ® product 270 in a way that it is not possible for the end user to remove the antenna. 5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration The EUT was tested in the requested a stand-alone configuration. 6. The modular transmitter must be labelled with its own FCC ID number The EUT will be labelled with its own FCC ID number. The label is specified in related exhibit. If the module is installed inside of an end-product, the label will not be visible. In this case the OEM customer will be instructed to how to apply the exterior label. 7. The modular transmitter must comply with any specific rule or operating requirements applicable to the transmitter and the manufacturer must provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such requirements. The EUT is compliant with all applicable FCC rules. Detail instructions are given in the Users Guide. 8. The modular transmitter must comply with any applicable RF exposure requirements. The maximum measured power output is 31,2 mW (14,94 dBm), the maximum antenna gain is 3 dBi = numeric gain 2,0. This means that the output power value is below the low threshold of 120/2,45 GHz (49 mW). The module has to be integrated in a way that the minimum distance of 2,5 cm between the body of the user and or nearby persons, excluding hands, wrists, feet and ankles the is ensured and it must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. If the radio module is installed in a laptop display, transmission must be prevented if the lid is closed to ensure that the minimum distance of 2.5 cm between the user and the transmitting antenna is maintained. If the radio module is installed in a laptop display, transmission MUST be prevented if the lid is closed to ensure that the minimum distance of 2.5cm between the user and the transmitting antenna is maintained.
