Quick Start WS330 300Mbps Wireless Router 1 1 Obtaining More Information Thanks for purchasing the WS330 300Mbps Wireless Router (WS330 for short). This quick start will show you how to connect your WS330 to a network and access the Internet. The figures in this guide are for reference only. The appearance and display features may vary slightly depending on the actual product version. For the full user guide, visit http://www.huaweidevice.com. Please visit www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/support/hotline for recently updated hotline and email address in your country or region. 2 Connecting Cables Connect your devices in the sequence indicated in the following figure. Packing list: 1 x WS330, 1 x power adapter, 1 x network cable, 1 x Quick Start and 1 x Warranty Card. When configuring the WS330 for the first time, use an Ethernet cable to connect the WS330 to a computer. 12 3 WS330 2 3 Powering On To power on the WS330, press its On/Off button. After the WS330 is powered on, the WS330 indicator turns on. The following table lists how the indicators behave when the WS330 is operating correctly. If the indicators do not behave as expected, ensure that everything is plugged in correctly. FCC ID: QIS-WS330 RF Exposures Evaluation for single antenna transmissions The Equipment Under Test (EUT) is a 300Mbps Wireless Router, Model: WS330 operating at 2412-2462MHz for 802.11b/g/n-HT20, 11 channels with 5MHz channel spacing. EUT operated at 2422-2452MHz for 802.11n-HT40, 7 channels with 5MHz channel spacing. It is powered by AC/DC Adapter Input: 120Vac, 60Hz. The EUT including 3 antennas, the RF IC support 2Tx & 2Rx mode only with can form 3 MIMO mode (Ant1+Ant2 or Ant1+Ant3 or Ant2+Ant3) under the 802.11n-HT20 & 802.11n-HT40, If the receiver sensitivity has meet internal limit valve, the antenna of EUT will auto transfer to the another antenna. For more detailed features description, please refer to the user’s manual. Antenna Type: Integral antenna. Ant1 Gain: 5dBi; Ant2 Gain: 5dBi, Ant3 Gain: 3dBi The nominal conducted output power specified : 21dBm +/-4dB. Modulation Type: DBPSK, DQPSK, BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM. The maximum E.I.R.P= 21+4+5=30dBm=1000mW The source-based time averaged maximum radiated power = 1000 x Duty Cycle = 1000mW From above data, the exposed power density at a distance (R) of 20cm from the center of radiation of the antenna can be calculated according to OET Bulletin 65 as follow: = 1000 / 4πR^2 = 0.20 mW/cm^2 The MPE limit is 1.0 mWcm-2 for general population and uncontrolled exposure in the Bluetooth frequency range according to FCC Part 1.1310. As the measured power density at 20cm from the transmitter is lower than the MPE limit, the compliance to the MPE limit can be ensured by indicating the minimum 20cm separation between the transmitter's radiating structure and body of the user or nearby persons. Transmitter Duty Cycle Calculation The EUT transmit continuously during the test, the duty cycle is 1. The power densities of up to 2 antennas located within a 90 cm² region at 1cm intervals are estimated first. Then the power densities computed for each antenna are summed. The plot “% MPE Contour” displays the result in percentages of the frequency-dependent power density limits. As the measured power density at 20cm from the transmitter is lower than the MPE limit (the compliance boundary for simultaneous transmission), the compliance to the MPE limit can be ensured by indicating the minimum 20cm separation between the transmitter’s radiating structures and body of the user or nearby persons.
