One has a removable user identity module (R-UIM) and the other does not. z This manual describes the C209s with the R-UIM. If a function is marked with "'", it indicates that this function is only available in the C209s with the R-UIM. But the remaining functions are supported by both the C209s models. Charging the Battery 1. Connect the charger to the charger interface at the bottom of your phone. Make sure that the arrow on the charger 6 connector faces the front side of the phone. 2. Connect the charger to a power socket. 3. The phone starts charging. The screen displays the charging animation. 4. When the animation becomes static, disconnect the charger from the power socket. 5. Disconnect the charger from the phone. Press the gray buttons on both sides of the charger connector, and then pull it out from the charger interface. Accessing a Menu 1. In the standby mode, press to display the main menu. 2. Press to select a function menu. 3. Press to display the selected menu. 4. Press to select a submenu and press to display it. 5. Press to return to the previous menu or exit the function menu. 6. Press to return to the standby screen. Making a Call 1. In the standby mode, press the number keys to enter a phone number. 2. Press to dial the number. 3. Press to end the call or cancel the dialing. 7 z When the phone is locked, you need to unlock the phone first. Otherwise, you can only make emergency calls. z Press continuously to enter *, P or T. Receiving a Call When there is an incoming call, you can do as follows: z Press , or OK key to answer the call. z Press or to reject the call. z When the any key answer function is enabled, press any key to answer the call (except , and ). z When the auto-answer function is enabled, the call is answered automatically in the preset duration. During a call, press to adjust the earpiece volume for a better calling effect. Phone Lock The phone lock protects your phone from unauthorized use.
