Quick Start Guide G630 HUAWEI Your phone at a glance Thank you for choosing the HUAWEI Ascend G630 smartphone. Before you start, let's take a look at your new phone. Headset jack Light sensor Return MicrophoneMicro USB port Menu Home Power button Volume button Front camera Earpiece Status indicator Installation Follow the instructions in the following figures to complete the installation. Then press and hold the power button to power on your phone. Press and hold the power button for 10 or more seconds to restart your phone. Open the battery cover. 1 Insert the micro-SIM card. 2 Open the microSD card cover. 3 G H Push the microSD card cover toward the top of the phone to release it. G H Flip the microSD card cover open. 6 Install the battery cover. 7 Charge the phone. 4 Place the microSD card into the card slot. 5 Fasten the microSD card cover. G H Close the microSD card cover. G H Push the microSD card cover back into its original position. Locking and unlocking the screen Your phone automatically locks its screen after being idle for a specified period of time. Alternatively, you can press the power button to manually lock the screen. You can go to and touch Display > Sleep to set the screen timeout period. Follow the onscreen instructions and drag to unlock the screen or open an application. Managing contacts Touch to open People. From the contact list, touch > Manage contacts to import contacts from the SIM card, microSD card, or another Bluetooth device. Touch the Groups tab page to group your contacts for easier management. )XKGZKG IUTZGIZ Placing a call Touch and enter a phone number on the dialer. If you have existing contacts on your phone, your phone automatically displays matching results as you type. Touch a number to place a call. You can also touch a number from Contacts, Messaging, Email, or Browser to place a call. 400 Messaging Touch to open Message. Attaching a file to a text message converts the message into a multimedia message. You can save photos, audio clips, or videos from received multimedia messages.
