ENGLISH Do NOT permanently mount the AMC30 until the Place- ment Test has been successfully passed. The AMC30 is a wireless door/window contact. Il also pro- vides an auxiliary input to connect a Roller-Blind Contact. Parts identification 1.Mounting bracket 2.Holes to fix the bracket 3.Tab to release the bracket 4.Back 5.Battery 6.Low-Battery indicator 7.Tamper switch 8.Notch for magnet alignement 9.Magnet 10.Terminal board 11.Programming jumpers Opening Remove the cover by pressing on the end notch to lift top cover. Install Battery Use care when installing the battery and observe the correct polarity (see Fig. 1). Use ONLY the Panasonic CR123A lithium battery. The warranty does not apply to the battery of the AMC30. Position Transmitter Select the location where the AMC30 is to be mounted. RF signals can be affected by metal objects, including metal doors or large mirrors. Ensure that these types of objects are not located between the AMC30 and the receiver as it can interfere with the proper operation of the AMC30. Enrolling and Placement The 6 digit serial number located on the AMC30 is for the door/window contact. The serial number for the auxiliary input is the serial number located on AMC30 + 1. For example, if the serial number printed on the AMC30 is 211117, then the door/window contact serial number is 211117, while the auxiliary input serial number is 211118. If the last digit is a letter then A+1=B; B+1=C; C+1=D; D+1=E; E+1=F; F+1=0, and the next left digit increases by one (for example 21111F+1=211120). Perform the Placement Test to ensure that the selected loca- tion is in range of the wireless receiver (see receiver Instal- lation Manual for instructions). Create a transmission by moving the magnet away from the AMC30. Mounting the AMC30 1.Place the mounting bracket in the position determined in the Placement Test. Secure the bracket to the door frame using the two screws provided. 2.“Snap” the sensor in place. To release bracket: remove the front cover; push the tab (see Fig. 1) with a small screwdriver and slide the AMC30 down. 3.Align one end of the magnet with the notch on the side of AMC30 housing (See Fig. 1). 4.Mount the magnet a maximum of 1/2" (1.27 cm) from the AMC30 using the screws provided. If necessary use the spacers provided (see Fig. 2).
