It has unique Automatic Power Saver (APS) circuit designed to conserve battery life. Both transmitter and detector circuits are powered by a commercial 2/3 AA Lithium battery with up to 3 years of battery life. When the passive infrared sensor detects motion in its filed of view, the ASIC triggers the on-board transmitter that Transmits its specific ID followed by an alarm signal and battery condition. The APS (Alarm Power Saver) mechanism is that alarm signal is transmitted only after 2 minutes of mask time after the last event of the alarm. If detector cover is removed - a microswitch is opened and the ASIC triggers the on-board transmitter for tamper signal. A periodic Transmission for supervision purposes takes place automatically once in ~ 60 min. In the event of low battery, when the power supply drops below the threshold level, low battery signal will be transmitted at supervision transmission.
