DSC Communication Bit '0' Bit '1' 2k baud = 500us Transmission Format: A complete transmission consists of a header, 4 sync bits, status byte, 24bit serial number, and 8 bit CRC. Status Byte Serial MSB Serial Mid Serial LSB CRC Byte Header 2.5ms PREAMBLE 4 '1' BITS Start Bit MSBLSB T1T2T3 T1 = 100ms + (50ms * Serial Number LSB bit 1,0) T2 = 100ms + (50ms * Serial Number LSB bit 3,2) T3 = 100ms + (50ms * Serial Number LSB bit 5,4) Example: If Serial Number LSB is 00110010. Then T1 = 200ms, T2 = 100ms, and T3 = 250ms. A complete transmission consists of 4 packets of data. The timing between packets is defined as follows:

Helen Zhao Subject: FW: Secure Wireless, Inc., FCC ID: QNPEV-DW433C, Assessment NO.: AN05T4642, Notice#1 Importance: High 1/7/2005 From: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, April 07, 2005 3:06 AM To: Helen Zhao Subject: FW: Secure Wireless, Inc., FCC ID: QNPEV-DW433C, Assessment NO.: AN05T4642, Notice#1 Importance: High Dear Helen, Question #1: There is no push button on the device, but the report said, "To activate continuous transmitting & receiving, place a small plastic block between rubber band and EUT push button." Please explain. What is the botton #1 you referred in the report? ---> Sorry about that! Attached please find Test Report_.pdf! Question #2: This device is not activated by pushing any botton manually, please provide plots to show the device will cease transmission within 5 seconds after deactivation in three cases: tilt switch, tamper switch and reed switch, to demonstrate compliance with FCC rule 15.231(a) (2). ---> Please refer to already granted project "AN04T3659" (FCC ID:QNP-EVDW433). cease transmission within 5 seconds after deactivation is done by means of firmware control. Total time of each transmission sequence will last only 16.9 ms and this transmission procedure will repeat 8 times. Regarding Q2: Please show more concrete evidence to show "A transmitter activated authomatically shall cease transmission within 5 seconds after deactivation". You can either ask the manufacturer to provide theoretical pulse train plot or you provide real measurement in the test report. Your statement "Total time of each transmission sequence will last only 16.9 ms and this transmission procedure will repeat 8 times. " implies that the device transmits periodically at regular predetermined intervals, which is not permitted under 15.231(a), however it is allowed under 15.231(e). It's not clear now. But if it is the case, you may need to change your limit to 15.231(e), at the same time, please make sure it meets 15.231(e) requirement "that the duration of each transmission shall not be greater than one second and the silent period between transmissions shall be at least 30 times the duration of the transmission but in no case less than 10 seconds." ---> Sorry about that! Attached please find DSC communication for FCC. Best regards, Joy Hsiao

EV-DW433C door sensor Operational Description The EV-DW433C door sensor is a low powered, which is installed in house to detect door/window for home security and other features. See the function descriptions in attached. The sensor is powered by a 3.3 volt battery. It is designed to operate on a single fixed frequency at 433.92 MHz. See the attached block diagram and schematic. There are 3 switches trigger the integrated circuit (IC1) which produces the digital control signals and will modulate the carrier signal(ASK). The carrier signal is generated by a I.C (IC1) oscillator/amplifier circuit comprised of a 13.56 MHz crystal (X1) . The modulated output of the RF stage is coupled to the strip antenna. The antenna is off-board soldered, around 160mm. The sensor is operated by the triggered momentarily within 0.2 second and will automatically deactivate send signal to receiver. All tuning and verification are performed by the manufacture and there are no adjustments can be made by user.
