This unit was designed to transmit an emergency signalfrom any location within the range of the alarm system. Signals from the button will be transmitted whether the system is armed or disarmed.The button is small and lightweight enough to be placed in a shirtpocket or tucked away inside purse. It can also be used with the supplied neck strap or multi-functional clip, which can connect to your belt, car visor or permanently mounted to a convenient location.To activate, press and hold the key for approximately 2 seconds. The LED located on the top of the unit will light up to confirm a signal has been set.Note: Signals will not be received if the key is not within range of the wireless receiver.Activating, Enrolling and ProgrammingTo conserve battery power the unit comes deactivated. To activate simply remove the cover andslide the switch to the ON position (to the left).Enroll the WS4938 using the 6-digit number located on the device. This device is supervised. If the unit is removed from the coverage range a trouble will beindicated on the system. If this is not desired the supervisory bit for this zone must be disabled on the receiver. If the battery is low the trouble light on the controls panel’s keypadwill turn ON.To replace the battery, remove the top cover by inserting a coininto the slot located on the bottom right corner and twist. Removethe screw at he center of the board to expose the batteries.Replace both batteries with Panasonic CR-2025 lithium batteries (see diagram).NOTE: The polarity of the battery must be observed, as shown in the diagram above. Question #1: Section 12 of test report indicates that this device is subject to 15.231(e) requirement which does not agree rest of test report. Please explain. <Thu>It's typo, it should be 15.231(b) (Please see updated the report). 04U2638-1 FCC Report(revised).... Question #2: The highest fundamental field strength measured is 48.04dBuV/m at Y position but the spurious emission/ harmonics measured are higher than fundamental. Based upon section 15.215(b) of FCC rules, unwanted emission can not be higher than the fundamental emission filed strength. Please address this non-compliance issue. <Thu>The fundamental reading is based on average reading (Peak reading - duty cycle), you should compare to the average reading of spurious harmonic(but we already updated the report any way). Question #3: What is the associated receiver will be used with this transmitter ? Is the associated receiver subject to FCC DoC or FCC certification ? <Kathy&Helen>The user manual indicates: "The WS4938(EV-F433PS) is compatible with the following receivers; PC4164-433, PC5132-433, RF5108-433, RF5501-433, NT9005 and NT9010". Operational Description

EV-F433PS transmitter Operational Description The EV-F433PS transmitter is a low powered, hand held unit for remote controlling the home security and other features. See the function descriptions in attached. The transmitter is powered by a 6 volt battery. It is designed to operate on a single fixed frequency at 433.92 MHz. See the attached block diagram and schematic. There are 2 buttons trigger the integrated circuit (U1) which produces the digital control signals and will modulate the carrier signal (ASK). The carrier signal is generated by a S.A.W oscillator/amplifier circuit comprised of a 433.92 MHz crystal (X1) and npn transmitter (Q1). The modulated output of the RF stage is coupled to the strip antenna. The strip antenna is attached on PCB around 60mm. The transmitter is manually operated by the buttons pushed momentarily within 0.2 second and will automatically deactivate send signal to receiver. This feature is incorporated by the U1 internally. All tuning and verification are performed by the manufacture and there are no adjustments can be made by user.
