An 802.15.4 (Zigbee) transceiver is used to control and activate home automation devices based on temperature within the home. A remote sensor is also included with the thermostat assembly. The CCZ-T1-x is powered by a CR123A battery or from an Orbit WT41-2600300AU power adapter. The Orbit power adapter was used for powering the CCZ- T1-x during testing. The “x” in the model number is a variable that indicates the color of the plastic housing. This report covers the 802.15.4 ZigBee transceiver and testing was performed to FCC Part 15 Subpart C. The digital and control circuitry subject to FCC Part 15 Subpart B is to be covered in a separate report. The 802.15.4 transceiver uses 15 channels in the 2400 to 2483.5 MHz band.
