Users Manual

EL-2614 The EL-2614 is a keyfob transmitter designed for use with Electronics Line 3000’s supervised wireless range of receivers. Registration To register the EL-2614: 1. Set the receiver to Registration mode. 2. Press one of the buttons, making sure that the LED lights up when the button is pressed. 3. Press the same button again to complete the registration process. Battery Replacement If the LED blinks during transmissions, this indicates that the batteries are low and need replacing. To replace the batteries: 1. Insert a small screwdriver into the pry-off slot – see Figure 2. Carefully twist the screwdriver to separate the front and back of the casing. 2. Observing correct polarity, replace the batteries. 3. Close the casing making sure that the front and back click shut. FCC ID: RIYEL2614 I have a few comments on the above referenced Application. EMC Report 1) The device appears to contain a daughter board. Please provide additional photographs of both sides of the daughter board and also the area underneath the daughter board located on the main board. 2) The operational description provided is simply a TX attestation. Please provide an exhibit for the operational description. 3) The fundamental appears lower than typically expected. Please confirm that the span was reduced at the fundamental in order to obtain good dynamic range during the final measurement (i.e. < 50 MHz span generally speaking). For instance, the large span used in the plots of 700 MHz has a loss of dynamic range due to the large span vs quick sweep time. The plots provide are usually sufficient to obtain areas of interest. 4) Please provide information to show/support compliance to 15.231(a)(1), ie .- test data. Please note that historically the FCC always request test data to show the device shuts off properly, regardless of an attestation. Timothy R. This information should support the information in #3 below. Please provide. 3) There is contradictory information within the application that needs to be corrected: a) The test report (Section 3.1.1) describes 2 x 800 ms bursts with 1 second between, while the new operational description provided mentions 1 x 800 ms burst. Please confirm which is correct, and provide either a corrected operational description or test report as necessary. Additionally, the plot referenced in #2 above should support this information. Additional Note for compliance to 15.231(a)(1): Note that this TX may continue to TX for the duration that the button is pressed to ensure that the signals are received. For compliance purposes, we are only concerned with how much more time the TX continues to operate once the button being released (i.e. only completes current 800 ms burst, or continues to transmit for 2 more 800 ms bursts, ceases immediately with no further TX, etc.). Operational Description

EL2611/2614 EL2611: 1-button W/L key-fob transmitter used for panic applications. Includes tx that transmits data in a frequency of 418MHZ, modulated FSK for 1sec. EL2614: Same as EL2614 (same tx, same data), but comprises 4 buttons for activation/deactivation of security system and other auxiliary functions. Low battery transmission: this data is not sent in a special transmit, but waits for first data transmission and will be sent together. For compliance with 15.231(a)(2) refer to test plot
