IEEE 802.11n Wireless PCI Express Adapter User’s Manual December 2010 1 FCC Warning This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class C digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in acco rdance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communication. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipme nt off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: ‐ Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. ‐ Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. ‐ Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to whi ch ‐ Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. the receiver is connected. FCC Caution: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must acce pt any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. IMPORTANT NOTE: FCC Radiation Exposure Statement: This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of about eight inches (20cm) between the radiator and your body. This transmitter must not be co‐located or operated in conjunction wi th any other antenna or transmitter. 2 IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that these conditions cannot be met (for example certain laptop configurations or co‐location with another transmitter), then the FCC authorization is no longer considered valid and the FCC ID cannot be used on the final product. In these circumstances, the OEM integrator will be responsible for re ‐evaluating the end product (including the transmitter) and obtaining a separate FCC authorization. Page 2 of 53 1 General Information 1.1 Notes The purpose of conformity testing is to increase the probability of adherence to the essential requirements or conformity specifications, as appropriate. The complexity of the technical specifications, however, means that full and thorough testing is impractical for both technical and economic reasons. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that a test sample which has passed all the relevant tests conforms to a specification. Neither is there any guarantee that such a test sample will interwork with other genuinely open systems. The existence of the tests nevertheless provides the confidence that the test sample possesses the qualities as maintained and that is performance generally conforms to representative cases of communications equipment. The test results of this test report relate exclusively to the item tested as specified in 1.5. The test report may only be reproduced or published in full. Reproduction or publication of extracts from the report requires the prior written approval of the Worldwide Testing Services(Taiwan) Co., Ltd. Specific Conditions: Usage of the hereunder tested device in combination with other integrated or external antennas requires at least additional output power measurements, spurious emission measurements, conducted emission measurements (AC supply lines) and radio frequency exposure evaluations for each individual configuration performed, for certification by FCC. The test sample is able to work according IEEE 802.11 b/g/n. This report is related to FCC Part 15 C (DSSS and OFDM device). Tester: April 15, 2010 Kevin Wang Date WTS-Lab.
