Perfect for: • Visually monitoring your home’s status • Setting up Home Heartbeat sensors • Automatically setting the system to send cell phone and text message alerts after you have left home Buy one for every member of your family! (can be set up for left- or right-handed use) FCC Statement (Compliance Statement, Part 15.19): This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. WARNING (Part 15.21): Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment. This portable transmitter with its antenna complies with FCC’s RF exposure limits for general population / uncontrolled exposure. This device must not be collocated or operated in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Canada Statement The term “IC” before the certification/registration number only signifies that the Industry Canada technical specifications were met. Interference This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, then the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna • Increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver • Connect the equipment into a power source on different circuit than the receiver. Home Key Maintenance Cleaning the Home Key Clean with a soft, dry cloth. To check Home Key battery level Using the Home Key, highlight the Home Key icon. Click the thumbwheel once and note the battery status on the bottom line of the screen. Servicing the Home Key Rechargeable Battery If you notice that your Home Key, after charging, is not holding the charge for the expected 5–7 days, please contact Eaton at 1-800-813-2199. The battery in the Home Key is a lithium cell and must be serviced by a trained technician. Home Key Use The battery cell in the Home Key is intended for use at ordinary temperatures where anticipated high temperature excursions are not expected to exceed 212 ̊F (100 ̊C). WARNING: Risk of Fire, Explosion, or Burns. Do Not Crush, Disassemble, Heat Above 212 ̊F (100 ̊C), Incinerate. Home Key Disposal Dispose of the Home Key, which contains a rechargeable battery, in accordance with local environmental laws. Your local recycling center can provide guidelines for proper battery disposal.

INTRODUCTION / SAR DEFINITION The FCC has adopted the guidelines for evaluating the environmental effects of radiofrequency radiation in ET Docket 93-62 on Aug. 6, 1996 to protect the public and workers from the potential hazards of RF emissions due to FCC-regulated portable devices.[1] The safety limits used for the environmental evaluation measurements are based on the criteria published by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for localized specific absorption rate (SAR) in IEEE/ANSI C95.1-1992 Standard for Safety Levels with Respect to Human Exposure to Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Fields, 3 kHz to 300 GHz. Introduction Between December 8 TH and 12 TH , 2005, a series of Conducted and Radiated RF Emission tests were performed on two pre-production samples of the Eaton Corporation’s Model Number: 70D5001G01, here forth collectively referred to as the “Equipment Under Test” or “EUT”. The first sample was set up for radiated emissions tests, and the second sample was set up for conducted RF emissions tests. These tests were performed using the procedures outlined in ANSI C63.4-2003 for intentional radiators, and in accordance with the limits set forth in FCC Part 15.247 (Industry Canada RSS-210) for a low power transmitter. These tests were performed by Abtin Spantman, EMC Engineer at L.S. Compliance, Incorporated. All Radiated and Conducted RF Emission tests were performed upon the EUT to measure the emissions in the frequency bands described in Title 47 CFR, FCC Part 15, including 15.35, 15.205, 15.247 and Industry Canada RSS-210 to determine whether these emissions are below the limits expressed within the standards. These tests were performed in accordance with the procedures described in the American National Standard for methods of measurement of Radio- Noise Emissions from Low-Voltage Electrical and Electronic Equipment in the Range of 9 kHz to 40 GHz (ANSI C63.4-2003). Another document used as a reference for the EMI Receiver specification was the Comite International Special Des Perturbations Radioelelectriques (CISPR) Number 16-1, 2003.
