For purposes of this section, a portable device is defined as a transmitting device designed to be used so that the radiating structure(s) of the device is/are within 20 centimeters of the body of the user. Per the applicant, ASSA ABLOY Inc, the AD1012 is not intended to be worn on the body; however, the user may be within 20cm of the device during transmission. 3.2 EIRP calculations The Transmitter Board consists of a 315 MHz radio. Note: The 315MHz radio complies with Field Strength limits of 47 CFR FCC Part 15 sub part 15.231 as per test Report # 106183429MPK-001. 3.3 Maximum RF Power Frequency (MHz) Average FS @ 3m (dBμV/m) EIRP (dBm) EIRP (mW) Note 315 69.91 -25.35 0.00292 FS measurements were taken from Report #106183429MPK-001. Maximum Average Field Strength measured = 69.91dBμV/m or -25.35dBm or 0.00292mW (from Report #106183429MPK-001). According to MICRF112 chip datasheet, the maximum output power of 10dBm was used for calculation as worse-case power. This value was provided by the client and may affect compliance. Intertek does not claim compliance for values other than those shown. No duty cycle was considered. According to KDB 447498 D01 Section 4.3.1 the SAR test exclusion condition is based on source-based time-averaged maximum conducted output power, adjusted for tune-up tolerance, and the minimum test separation distance required for the exposure conditions. The SAR exclusion threshold is determined by the following fo…

Norton Rixson January 27 th , 2026 5800 RF TX, Rev 7 PN: 41-5800-0012 Antenna Construction Report Public 1.0 Antenna Design The antenna for PN 41-5800-0012, also referred to as “5800 RF TX”, was designed based on Micrel/Microchip’s design notes to go with the MICRF112 integrated circuit. These documents are being sent with this document for reference: a. TX112PCB_Layout.doc b. TX112_ANT_DIM_TOP.pdf c. TX112_ANT_DIM_BOT.pdf These describe the layout of the antenna, and where the ground plane should stop. There is an example layout of the RF IC and associated components, which was used as a reference, but some changes were made, since the components used and the components in the example were not one-to-one. Figure 1: Excerpt from TX112PCB_Layout.doc Norton Rixson January 27 th , 2026 5800 RF TX, Rev 7 PN: 41-5800-0012 Antenna Construction Report Public 2.0 41-5800-0012 Antenna Details The PCBA for the 41-5800-0012 is a four layer PCBA. However, all traces and planes, except the antenna traces, stop before the antenna region, as specified by the MICRF112 antenna recommendations, as can be seen in Figure 2. Also visible in Figure 2, is the actual dimensions of the 41-5800-0012 board. Figure 2: 41-5800-0012 Layout, Viewed in Altium Figure 3 shows the layer stackup for the PCB. In the antenna region, the Ground and Power layers have been removed. This means the total dielectric thickness between the top and botton traces is approximately 55.6mils +/-13%. Both the top and bottom antenna traces are 1oz copper. The layout of the RF circuit and board dimensions varies.
