Users Manual MURATA WIRELESS LAN MODULE MODEL LBWA1WPKV6 The purpose of this manual is to explain correct way how to integrate module LBWA1WPKV6 to the end product. It includes procedures that shall assist you to avoid unforeseen problems. This manual presents information that shows how module and OEM product, where module integrated, complies with regulations in certain regions. Any modifications, not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the authority to operate in these regions. The MURATA WIRELESS LAN MODULE, model LBWA1WPKV6 has to be installed and used in accordance with the technical description/installation instructions provided by the manufacturer. For detail information concerning type approval of this module (e.g. where this module is already pre-approved) please contact the authorized local distributor or the manufacturer. The system may only be implemented in the configuration that was authorized. Note that any changes or modifications to this equipment not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment. Regulatory Information USA-Federal Communications Commission (FCC) This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by tuning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try and correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: -Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. -Increase the distance between the equipment and the receiver. -Connect the equipment to outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. -Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. Labeling MURATA WIRELESS LAN MODULE LBWA1WPKV6 labeled as below. FCC ID: VPYLBKV The proposed with FCC ID label format is to be placed on the module. If FCC ID is not visible when the module is installed into the system, “Contains FCC ID: VPYLBKV” shall be placed on the outside of final host system. Caution: Exposure to Radio Frequency Radiation. To comply with RF exposure compliance requirements, a separation distance of at Least 20 cm must be maintained between the antenna of this device and all persons. This device must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Canada-Industry Canada (IC) This device complies with RSS 210 of Industry Canada. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of this device. The term “IC” before the equipment certification number only signifies that the Industry Canada technical specifications were met. To reduce potential radio interference to other users, the antenna type and its gain should be so chosen that the equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP) is not more than that required for successful communication. To prevent radio interference to the licensed service, this device is intended to be operated indoors and away from windows to provide maximum shielding. Equipment (or its transmit antenna) that is installed outdoors is subject to licensing. IMPORTANT The antennas are not user selectable and the product may be used only with the antennas provided.

One of these approved antennas will be used with this device. 5 Be tested in a stand-alone configuration, i.e., the antenna, AC or DC power and data input/output lines must be connected to the module but, the module must not be inside another case during testing Device was tested outside of the desktop PC for full modular approval. Refer to setup photos. 6 Be labeled with its own FCC ID number, and if the FCC ID is not visible when the module is installed inside another device, then the outside of the device into which the module is installed must also display a label referring to the enclosed module. The proposed FCC ID label format is to be placed on the module. If FCC ID is not visible when the module is installed into the system, “Contains FCC ID: VPYLBKV” shall be placed on the outside of final host system. 7 The modular transmitter is manufactured so that the user cannot influence the operation of the transmitter that will operate outside of the scope of the regulations. Refer to “User’s Guide” Exhibit 8 Address compliance with the Commission's RF exposure limits in Sections 1.1310 and 2.1093. In addition, spread spectrum transmitters operating under Section 15.247 are required to address RF exposure compliance in accordance with Section 15.247(b)(4).
