5287333 INSTRUCTION MANUAL Thank you for purchasing a Taylor digital weather station. This weather instrument is an example of superior design and craftsmanship. Please read instructions thoroughly to ensure that you have the full benefit of all the unit’s features. Keep these instructions handy for future reference. BATTERY INSTALLATION AND INITIAL SET UP The Digital Mood Light Weather Station base unit operates on (2) 1.5v AAA batteries (not included). The battery compartment is located on the back of the Weather Station base unit. Insert 2 AAA batteries into the battery compartment according to the “+” and “-“ polarity symbols. Replace the battery compartment cover. When the batteries are installed, the icons on the LCD display will briefly light up for 3 seconds, beep and detect indoor temperature and humidity. NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nicad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries. WARNING: Batteries may pose a choking hazard. As with all small items, do not let children handle batteries. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. PRECAUTION: Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for a long period of time. Insert the adapter DC plug into the power socket on the back of the charging plate. Plug the AC adapter into an electrical wall socket. The charging plate will briefly light up. DESCRIPTION OF PARTS G: INDOOR sensor H: MODE button I: UP button J: DOWN button K: Alarm ON/OFF switch L: Battery compartment cover A: Time r B: Indoor temperature (°F or °C) C: Backlight /snooze button D: Month and date E: Day of week F: Indoor humidity 1: Wireless charging status indicator 2: Mood light emitting area 3: Anti-skid pad of mobile device wireless charger 4: Mood light button 5: Weather Station DC power supply terminals 6: DC terminal power supply to base unit 7: Adapter DC input socket 8: USB charging socket (5V1.0A) Place the base station onto the designated position on the charging plate. The Weather Station will be powered from the DC terminal of the charging plate. WARNING: Do not allow metal and other conductive objects to contact two power supply terminals (5) at the same time. There is a magnetic field in the DC terminal supply area (6) of the charging plate. Do not put the magnetic stripe of a card (credit card, telephone card, bank card, boarding card, etc.) on it. CLOCK SETTING Press and hold the MODE button for 2 seconds and the 12/24Hr starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the desired time format. NOTE: When choosing 12hr format, if “PM” is displayed before the hour, this indicates the hour is post meridiem. • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the hour display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct hour. • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the minutes display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct minute. • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the date format display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select Date/Month or Month/Date. • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the year display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct year. • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the month display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct month. • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the date display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the correct date. • Press MODE to confirm your setting and the languages selection for the weekday display starts to flash. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select the desired language. Press MODE to confirm and end setting procedures. NOTE: Press and hold the UP or DOWN button to quickly scroll through selection options. After 20 seconds without pressing any button, the clock switches automatically from set mode to normal mode. SETTING DAILY ALRAMS Move the ALARM switch to the ON position and the LCD displays the icon. Move the ALARM switch to the OFF position and the disappears. While in set mode, press MODE once and the time will switch to the alarm time display for 5 seconds. Within these 5 seconds, press and hold MODE for 2 seconds until the hour of the alarm time starts to flash. Press UP or DOWN to set the desired hour. Press MODE to confirm your setting and the minutes of the alarm time display starts to flash. Press UP or DOWN to set the desired minute. Press MODE to confirm and end setting procedures. NOTE: After 20 seconds without pressing any buttons, the clock automatically switches from alarm setting mode to normal clock mode. The alarm will sound for 2 minutes if it is not deactivated by pressing any buttons. In this event, the alarm will be repeated automatically after 24 hours. While the alarm is ringing, press any button except SNOOZE to stop the alarm. It is not necessary to reactivate the alarm. It automatically sets to the preset alarm time. While the alarm is ringing press SNOOZE to go into snooze mode. The alarm will sound again in 8 minutes. °F |°C TEMPERATURE DISPLAYS The temperature is displayed either in °F / °C, the weather station defaults to Celsius. Press the UP button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. BACKLIGHT MODE SETTINGS When the charging plate is powered by the adapter and the base unit is correctly positioned into the DC terminal power supply, the backlight will always be on. Press the BACKLIGHT button to adjust the 3 backlight modes: • C1: Gradient of different colors at opposite ends of the base unit • C2: Same color gradient across the base unit • C3: Dark mode for sleeping When the base unit is removed from the charging plate and is only powered by battery, press BACKLIGHT once and the backlight will be powered on for 8 seconds.
