U-KEY USER MANUAL The Universal Key (U-Key) is a self-contained unit. It is carried anywhere on a user’s person (pocket, purse, computer case, etc). It has no buttons or anything else to activate. Line-of-sight with a door reader is not required. As an individual approaches a locked portal, if they are allowed access, the portal unlatches. The U-Key is a battery operated unit. However, it is sealed and, as such, does not enable the user to change batteries. The unit is water-resistant but cannot withstand immersion in a liquid. It is recommended that the user keep the U-Key dry to avoid malfunction. FCC Caution: This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation Any Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment.
